Nostalgia

This was the line up of quality bands playing at Riverwood Hotel on this equivalent week in 1979... I reckon Midnight Oil was the pick.

Yep, similar to The Civic Hotel in the City.

Monday was Anne Kirkpatrick (Slim Dusty's daughter). Then Mi Sex on Tuesday, Flowers on Wednesday (Icehouse), Thursday was The Oils and Cold Chisel on Friday - The cover charge was $1 each night BUT The Chisels charged $3. I rang Triple J to complain and they said that it was a fair cop cos they had an LP in the market.

I remember the Civic well, some great acts there, across the road from the old Mandarin Club.

Was a bit of a regular there for a while on a Monday night when the Anne Kirkpatrick Band used to play.

If I remember correctly they used to end the night with a Santana cover and also remember one night/morning waking up in the Central Lock Up with a few bruises after being tossed into the back of a paddy wagon.

Ah, the good old days, now I'm just old.

Remember champion @hank37w, we're all getting older at the same rate. 😉

I’m an old Revesby lad, we never got bands like these gems at The Roundhouse (Revesby pub) sometimes Padstow pub got decent bands.
Memory not what it used to be,
Riverwood pub had a name for where the bands played just can’t remember at this point (if anyone can help)
Talking about like Selina’s at Coogee bay hotel

Thanks Innsaneinc:
It’s been bugging me but as soon as I saw your reply it came back,
We always put an “S” on the end.
Domino’s
Sundowners
I don’t recall Bexley North being called anything else.
Thanks again appreciated
