Shane Richardson

Imagine someone stole your car.
You know who it was.
You know where they live.
But you can't do anything about it.
The burglar and their friends decide to rub it in your face, telling you to stop over reacting, spinning narratives on why your car deserved to be stolen.
Then 3 months later when its still touchy because you are without your car, the burglar says you should move on because he hasnt stolen anything from you in the last 3 months..

They stole more than a car.. they stole our hope of a better future. We might push through it, we might have some success, but we traded Shane warne for Stuart McGill. Its unforgivable.

You will hear about this for years to come, so I suggest you come to terms with it, champ.
Ok, imagine this.
You have an older brother. Nice enough bloke, but he went off the rails and started gambling and drinking. He ruined his marriage because he was a dumb XXXX that listened to his dumb XXXX mates. Lost his house, wife and kids. You do the noble thing . . . actually the ultra noble thing and pay his debts. His legal fees, and outstanding debts accrued from his dumb XXXXness.
You also give him a place to live in your granny flat, plus a few hunj a week to live.
Months later, you have a blue with your wife, or your teenage son, and old mate bro starts criticising your actions . . . yelling abuse at you from your own granny flat. He tells all his mates about the mistakes you've made in your life, while conveniently ignoring the fact he's living on your coin.
While it's wrong for you to expect him to kiss your feet or build a monument for you, it's also wrong of him to disrespect you who sunk your hand deep into your own pocket to bail out the useless budger. You could of just walked away and let him suffer from his inability to keep his shit together, but no, you chose to do the right thing . . . and now have to listen to this absolute ingrate conveniently forget to mention that you saved him while he's endlessly criticising things you did 3 months ago.

Your brother and his mates should also hear about this for years to come, but there seems to be a protection order on truth in history.

If your brother wasn't a useless donkey, your family would have a nice stable base of both sons working together to keep the extended family on the right track. But instead, we have one son that blew his life away through unthinkable dumbarse decisions . . . and now he doesn't contribute shit to the equation but is content to keep ripping you on things that happened months ago. If he had half a brain, you both could be involved in family decisions and you wouldn't have to rely on just one bloke doing all the work. And while doing all the work, he gets criticised by the one he chose to bail out.
Come to terms with that, then we can talk about the rest.

Always interesting hearing the life'n times of Richo but nothing really new in it that we hadn't heard before until the last few mins.

Richo is still working at the Wests Tigers part of his 3-month notice.

In these situations, he wouldn't be present at Concord but typically would have a project to work on, perhaps helping in the transition of Shaun or working on the football dept strategy with Shaun.

This comment he made then made think whether a comment he made earlier had any legs. Charlie Murray should be in the R2 17 he commented in his opinion. Maybe he knows something wink wink

I was actually disappointed in this interview … very little about the WT or his time there…I fast forwarded through the parts of his time at the other clubs … Ive heard those stories before..

He mentioned he was on 90 days gardening leave .. isn’t that a euphemism that you are getting paid to do nothing?

Thanks for the analogy. It gives me perspective where you are coming from.

Wests did the noble thing and I tip my hat to them for it. But the situation you are referring to has absolutely nothing to do with the situation we are talking about. It has nothing to do with balmain.

It relates to the Wests Tigers and the future of the nrl football club.

The problem is, alot of you older heads, rightly or wrongly, have your defences up thinking this is a plot by ex balmain people to uprise and take over the joint... its not.. atleast not for the majority of us fans.

We are upset that we (the wests tigers nrl club) were headed in the right direction for the first time in over a decade, both on and off the field and this was sabotaged when the directors were sacked as a way to force out Richardson, who played a big part in getting the football club back on track. That is soley HBGs fault, no one else's. Balmain dont even come into the picture mate.

So I appreciate you taking the time to write this analogy, but it just reinforces the complete disconnect from the wests tigers nrl football club and paranoia that everyone's out to destroy the magpies.

I wish you guys could see that the majority of us couldnt care less about the balmain and magpies BS.. we truly could not give a flying bark.

We are upset you took away the best leader we have had at the joint venture since its inception, all because of paranoia and control... if hbg truly had the best interest of the nrl club at heart, richo would still be here. Hes a polarising character, but he is a do-er, and thats what we needed.

We took 10 steps forward and another 5 back, because of paranoia and ego.

Who would have thought that the ability to walk on water is an attribute that makes you a better centre. 🤣

Wish he could put his hand on Starford and heal him.
Yea he turned the watercooler into wine...

Fortunately no footballer recognised Wine as Alcahol and stayed away from the stuff. Probably thought it was a cows blood performance enhancing milkshake or something.

You see our situation most people aren't here for either brother.

They are here for the son whose life keeps getting stuffed due to the brothers trying to interfere in his life when they don't understand the first thing about his life.

Shaun is the correct guy to take over from Richo, should have happened in 2 years time when Shaun is ready.
This, iv no doubt Shaun has the nouce and ability to do a great job, hes done it elsewhere in other leagues so im confident he will run with it, though it does worry me a bit he is a bit under cooked atm. Hope im totally wrong and he runs with it from the get go and not like Benji who we needed to have 2 very lean years before we started to see the green shoots. Its the contract situations that are worrying me, we should have been over them all ages ago. Bula hasnt signed anything yet and Terrells come out saying theyve forgotten about him. Im just hoping we dont need another 2 really lean years under Shaun before we see him run with the ceo role.

Just promise in 12 - 18 months youll get Richo on the pod when hes not hamstrung by his nda so he can talk finally. Highest rating pod of the month guaranteed.

You forgot the start of the story. The aprt where the brother who is saving the other one, was originally saved by the brother struggling. How convenient

Most of this is true.
I wouldn’t say we took 10 steps forward though.
The team were a damn rabble for most of the year and played with very little heart.

Quite insulting to the squad. I thought most games they did play with heart. There was definitely the odd game they didn’t turn up but they tried most games.
