Jahream Bula #269

Everyone is saying he chose Moses, what happened back in the Sheens days is Bula's manager took a gig with the Dogs and all his contracted players were shifted across to Moses' agency. Yes Bula could have said no and gone elsewhere, however this was back when the Isaac Moses Benji issue was not a problem as Sheens was in charge. Yes he could have moved agents when the whole Benji thing blew up, however from what I have seen changing agents is actually a long and convoluted process. Took Luai almost a year to change his one. The player has to pay out the remainder of his current contract commission and then has to pick up an agent that is willing to do it for free until he gets to sign a new contract with the client or double pay commission to the new agent.
very true, if the extension happens then Moses as I understand it gets no commission.
I dare say that is where the noise to change clubs is from, potentially not so much bula himself.
I dont believe bula goes to dragons or anywhere else it is us or dogs
I guess bula has to want to move at the end of the day

I believe he gets no commission if Bula plays on the option .. as this was negotiated by the previous agent ..

would depend on the terms of the transfer as it was not initiated by the player but by the previous agent moving to a full time paid gig at a club. I think the whole commentary about Moses not getting anything is not accurate, there is probably some sort of split in the commission or some other sweetheart deal they negotiated between agents. From Bula's perspective nothing changes he still has to pay the commission and would probably be penalized if he moved agents in the middle of a contract.

Maybe ..
It was previously reported in the media that way that the original agent got the commission if he played under the option ..I’m sure both parties could sign a “new” 1 yr deal otherwise to make sure Moses gets his money next year

As some on here mentioned, Bula is very much an introvert who is deeply connected to his faith. It's unfortunate that he signed up with an agent who is an alpha male and who hates the WT. We all know his dealings with us over the big 4 and last year with Galvin, we lost that game twice.

Introverted people can be easily infleunced by alpha males and it would not suprise me if this is the case with Moses and Bula.

As I've mentioned 105 times(allegedly 🙂) before, I have been told by someone I know who works for the Bulldogs football dept 2 months ago that Bula has stated he wants to sign with the Dogs and they apparently have talked terms and money, through a 3rd party, even though they technically can't.

Now, I'm like everyone on here and hope that Bula stays, who knows what he will do now that the Dogs have signed Tracey for an extra 2 years and the Dragons are more interested in Drinkwater.

But we all know how the snakes of Moses and Gould operate, don't believe a word we hear in the press about them wanting to retain Burton!.

Maybe the Dogs have plans to farewell both Xerri and Burton, free up a stack of cash, play Tracey in the centres and still go for Bula with a huge deal......
No hate on your mail mate, hope its wrong but appreciate whenever people share what they hear.

Do have to say the alpha male stuff is a little funny. Did moses go and piss in all the corners of Bula's house or something? Its possible, but he'd do it when no one is looking, not with direct eye contact like a mike tyson might lol

Bula's job is 100x harder than mosea'q and he proves he is tougher day in day out. If Bula wants out, moses will do it, if he wants to stay moses cant change that. If he's on the fence, yes he can be influenced by moses but there are big voices that are pro tigers like Benji, Luai etc.... in his ear too.

I know you are also hoping your mail is wrong, nothing personal, I just don't buy the narrative that moses can make a player do x or y by being an alpha. Maybe by being a snake, but thats a different thing haha. moses is the rugby league equivalent of a terminal illness you don't know you have. Manly, Parra, us in the past.... several others have all been surprised when they find they are no longer breathing. If Bula puts more credence in his words than any desire he has to stay, then he is an idiot, not a beta.

I agree with the general premise of your post and disagree with your assessment of introverts. They can be very stubborn, driven individuals. (Not an assessment of Bula)

And I see Mr Slimey Two Face Gould giving him the glowing endorsement during Sundays TV coverage, à la Galvin eg “gee he is going to be a great player.”, etc etc.
Nice compliments but you know that Gould always has an angle.
The commission thing will not appeal to Moses at all, he’s a businessman not a charity, and it will cost him a decent chunk of change.
I’ve got the feeling that Bula would like to stay, but circumstances are not going in that direction.
Yet another protracted signing saga.

Out of all the agencies he could’ve signed with he chose Moses not long after the Galvin saga derailed the season. Recent history and Gould’s comments suggest the writings already on the wall. I think he’s the last Moses client in our ranks so we’d be stupid not to take an Uncle Nick stance moving forward and take the club option for next year so the leach gets nothing

He was with Moses before the Galvin drama
