Look he did side with Superleague, I respect Dymock and others who stuck out for the NRL.
I get too that he was opportunistic as a coach. Clearly advoiding Canberra to further himself. Bulldogs, Easts, then eventually Cronulla and loosing 15 games in a row.
Then somehow Parramatta and a wooden spoon...
Canberra throw him the worlds biggest lifeline, which works.
He built Canberra back up. They would not be a top 4 side if it wernt for him.
I also appreciate that Ricky is doing something different as a coach.

Ricky at least coaches his team his way. He is no NRL saint, but we are a little too hung up on that.
He is a character, the game is better with him around. I truly believe Canberra would be looking at retirement as a team if it wernt for Ricky.

How different hey. It was only recently we could easily get pinned in our own 30 struggling to make metres. Now the guys are making metres for fun.
Lol yeah the only turn in the game for the Raiders was half time! They couldn’t score a point after that.
Well after the changes I’ve seen in Twal’s game this year, I believe anything is possible!

When I was a kid I would race home from a Lidcombe game to catch the game on telly. If I got first the train from Auburn to Parra then changed and got on another for former Gods Country.....Rooty Hill & I'd only miss about 10 mins. If I went to Lidcombe Station, I'd be lucky to catch the tail end of the first half.

That’s a really bad game type to play before you play us I think . The narrative that the new rules are like touch football is not true . I think if you play the tigers , bulldogs and panthers you better be up for it . Because if you’re not , it won’t be a touch football game . It will be injuries , broken pride and broken spirit . There may not be all the tries , but you’ll be left in a pit of despair after it .
That style is brutal . And only 4 teams are playing it . Bulldogs , (the Temu version) , panthers (the OG and still the best) and the tigers and warriors ( big angry islanders an Lebos who want to rip you apart) . They’re by far and away the best 4 defensive teams. And if the dogs weren’t playing the imposter at 7 , they might be up there as well in the wins column .
it’s going to be interesting next week that’s for sure .
He's a grade A whinger and an absolute hypocritical asshole, stands by multiple eye gouger in Hudson Young and Wighton whose bashed people on the piss multiple times, then has the hide to publically call a young player a weak gutted dog for an incident when said player was 12 years old

The Raiders are a good tough side but they are a Stuart coached team. Their dummy half is always looking for a penalty for interference at the ruck. The ball carrier is held down consistently and the ref does little to address it. At one stage, Tapine thought he was entitled to a penalty and demanded one from the refer. He probably would have been awarded it in Canberra.
