IMO our best chance, even if small, of winning a comp this year or next is with Luai in the side not Jock Madden.Yep can’t argue with this.
Don't know if they do hair shampoo commercials in PNG Tuck, he needs to look into this.Yep can’t argue with this.
Agree, Tyga. Luai may decide to go in 28, and we might have had 2 seasons playing finals by that time. Luai's work will have been done and him moving on actually provides for a seamless transition. Especially if everything's out in the open. Latu, Jock, & Javon have a clear pathway.Luai has been good for the Tigers and for Benj and im a fan of what he brings in and off the field. That said hes a better second fiddle and probably worth 900k. If he leaves and by 2028 the plan is to play Latu Fainu it would work out well. 5 year deal at 1.5m tax free you cant say no if the family agrees.
PappenhusenYou insinuated I was making it up.
Ive also heard it more than once.
He was talking to gus, Terrell was ready to sign, they pulled the contract because they thought they were about to land someone else big (i forget who).
Infact, talking about it has reminded me that Gus Gould even mentioned almost signing Terrell last year.
Let him sell his soul to the Devil, who cares - Latu is younger with much more promise anyway.Just saw Channel 9's new report. He was certainly not trying to be incognito. He was even waving. Either Luai is a complete douche and has no respect for Benji and the club (which he has consistently said he does) or all parties were aware of his visit. It does astound me though that this has occurred basically at the same time of the year that the Galvin blow up occurred last year.
Bula would be my choice for 5/8 and captain in that situation, Bula is a brilliant ball player, a rugged defender and a born leader ,, I could see him being the 6 and playing for Australia for the near futureIf Luai ends up staying with us it probably means we would lose Latu Fainu due to lack of opportunity, so it probably works in our favour if he does chase the money being offered by PNG.
#teamfirstWill this derail the season? Genuine thoughts?
If we had to bring a fullback in next week to fill in for Bula I’d say Brookes is physically more ready for 1st grade , he is a gun , and strong and lightning quick,, I’d say he’d fit in well with the correct structureBula is good . But honestly if we take his option and kick the can down the road and he goes to PNG with luai or the dogs . We have 18 months to really develop attard and Brooke’s . They’re both going to be special .
Talk about an overblown story.
A lot of posters have him gone already in 2028, but I think it’s highly unlikely he’ll go to PNG. I think they are going to struggle big time to sign players.
They will get beaten by 50 every game except for the odd weekend when they’ll cop 70.Talk about an overblown story.

The media, will certainly do their best to kill our season like the did last year#teamfirst
Bottomline simple equation. He has until Thursday to trigger his extension. If he only extends for 2027 and not 2028 and 2029, we have an answer.
Think Perth will do it tough as well, still need a lot of players and feel there won't be much money for the back 10 signings creating shit depth. They will get beaten by 50 every game except for the odd weekend when they’ll cop 70.
I think young single players will consider that in the short term, but I don’t see many elite players with families moving to PNG.I can’t comments specially about Luai …but don’t underestimate that tax free thing … it’s like double the money …they will get more than Perth ..

Very different to Perth.
While I think Luai will go there I think overall both expansion sides will struggle big time to sign players and will be anchored to the bottom 2They will get beaten by 50 every game except for the odd weekend when they’ll cop 70.
