When are they taking the “interim” tag off him then? Might give him some more authority to get things done… both internally and give him a bit more respect externally

No idea, your guess is as good as mine.
I haven’t bothered trying to get any inside information recently, but it is very important we get Shaun signed as our permanent CEO in my opinion.

I think most people at Leichhardt last Thursday would completely disagree. Not so long ago we were getting pumped by 50 in spoon bowls.

JL along with a few other key acquisitions have been enormous for this club.

Wheels can still fall off and old habits slip back in though, we’re a top 4 side but this time last year Penrith were written off and look at them now, look at where storm were this time last year. I agree I was harsh with saying that he hasn’t achieved anything but when he said he wanted to lift our club he was speaking about finals games not top 4 after round 8

You take both Jahream & Luai out of our line up and it looks pretty bleak. Team list this week even might even be scary.

Well look at the Storm.
No Pezet and no NAS and suddenly they are struggling.

That would be like us loosing AD and Pole.

Were not going to loose Luai unless there is a sweetheart deal with PNG.

Bula, I also don't see him moving now, unless ofcourse PNG. Dogs were the main attractant and they have pulled out. Ofcourse Bula is good, but we would like to upgrade him and I am sure Issac Moses wants an extra 100k or more if he can get it.

Yeah, you are right (literally) but it certainly has a real feeling about this revival. Hopefully if Luai leaves he does it after winning a few finals games with us.

Recruitment & retention starts and stops with him. That’s the nature of the job. We’re winning so it should be an easier sell. Also Vegas?

3/4 of the first 17 can negotiate with rivals in 6 months, no hurry at all ....

We have some guys in career best form, who knows what’s around the corner. No guarantees these guys are healthy or in form in 18 months.

It’s essentially a sales pitch.

I’m talking about the players waiting …why not wait for the broadcast deal to be done to see what the salary cap is likely to be , and even possibly test the market like Luai has done at the first opportunity?

No idea, I would have locked him in for a minimum of 3 years if it was up to me.
