Don’t think we can talk to him yet but how come PNG can talk to Johnston and Luai then?

Luai hasn't extended his contract so has been on the market since 1 Nov. As soon as he exercises his option he is back off the market until 1 Nov. So if he doesn't announce his signing with the Chiefs before he signs his option they can't talk to him again until 1 Nov. If he signs with the Chiefs now and then takes up the 2027 option he has done right by all parties as we can plan for his replacement and the Chiefs have a Marquee signing to base their build on. It is a good for all involved.
