OFFICIAL Jahream Bula #269

What I think has been missed is that this has all happened under Shaun Mielekamp’s watch. The handling of the Luai to the Chiefs, the May resignings and now Bula.
Yes - they want to play for Benji but it is thre CEO who provides the dollars. Who knows. He may have seen Luai’s departure as the critical moment and encouraged it.
If he can get the Fainu’s long term, then presumably he is a lock for the top job (HBG acting logically of course).
HBG acting logically is wishful thinking to be honest, but hopefully the NRL stepping in last year hopefully mean they maintain a sense of being on notice.

It's very strange, but for some reason that whole "being greedy" isn't seen as evil anymore.
It always has and IMHO always will.

Ofcourse with playing contracts, some moneygrubber will get in a players ear if they are not greedy:
A church
A relative
A girl
<etc>

Heck it would be quite altious if a player said "ill live off 100g and donate the rest"... My point, we are not going to stop any player from asking for more. Unless they want to stay with the team (i.e. Twal, AD recently).
Agree

Greed is a horrible sin. Destroys peoples ability to prioritise.

The original post linking greed with wanting to make more money is the equivalent of saying a person who exercises is vein. They might be, they might not be. It’s probably correlated but not likely causal.

Making money can lead to greed through storing up treasures (Matthew 6:19-21)

Or it can lead to a life rich in loving others in their most vulnerable moments.

Greed can be not giving the five dollars or it can be not giving one of your millions away.

Point is, like most sins… our society points to others and says I am wayyy better than this money hungry (player).

Greed is mainly about the heart.

Yes the professionalism & maturity of Isaac Moses who presented a list of grievances to Richo & refused to look at an offer for LG from the club who gave him his first grade debut . Then used his media mouthpieces to trash the club & Benji

That mature & professional guy …
🤮

Is that right about Pat ? I was a little skeptical about that appointment…. Might be a master stroke from the owners …

As well as securing a contract at a much lower value than what was already on the table...with a club that was"going places"
..that wld be backwards!
Im reticent to deal with him ,and can only imagine the $$ and clauses we compromised

Mate …There is a difference between posting a rumour , and providing a running commentary on it … ( I’ve spoken to the NRL player for the fourth week in a row and he is still adamant Bula is joining the Dogs ) comes across to me as a little attention seeking particularly when no further context is provided about the source - this doesn’t have to involve naming the guy … just how he might be connected to the story …and the updates

Anyway .., what do you think now about this guy leading you along? Like I said to you previously ., he has likely been winding you up
Why does anyone who gives us info here need to justify themselves or their source ? Keep posting what you hear guys despite the rumour police in here .

Great news re Bula. I wonder if Weidler carries around his own kneeling pad for when he meets up with Gus and Moses. Jeez, as has been said by others an embarrassing piece of journalism*

* term used loosely.
The line about the Bulldogs never making an offer was to protect Grub Gould looking incompetent for missing another target.

Anyway he is staying and if we sure up the Fainu's and Turuva we have our core lock down.... Who cares what the grubs write ....

Bring on Cronulla !!!!!
