OFFICIAL Jahream Bula #269

The conundrum with Taruva is hes on $400k as a winger...
If he excels over the next month as a fullback,he mite almost double his $$ as both new club swld be keen
Hes vulnerable

23yr old quality back who has a team influence & can fit into any position in the backline isn’t common. He also studies the game & is always learning.

It’s why I put him in the same bucket as the Fainu bros that we must secure quickly. His best years are to come.

Agree. Might come down to turuva & fonua. Fonua really wants to stay though
The only club I worried about for him was Melbourne.. but his brother isnt anywhere near the starting side and it looks like Bellamy's time in charge might be over with the neurodegenerative disease (hard to see him sticking around for too long). So I think Pole will stick around.

🤣 🤣 🤣
You blokes kill me.
For the past 100 weeks, all we hear is how HBG are blah blah blah.
"Can't re-sign players"
"My cousin, Roger Fabri told me directly that Bula won't sign because HBG has got 3 letters, and 3 is an unlucky number in Bula's culture"
So now, HBG in all of it's glorious incompetence, signs Bula . . . and still the geniuses here want to bad mouth them. Oh, and before you Mensa graduates tell me that of course HBG had nothing to do with Bula re-signing . . . . I know. They also had exactly the same to do with him NOT re-signing.
It's a great signature, a great sign that our club is moving forward.
We should be celebrating this. But again, The People's Front of Judea comes to mind.

Are the option clauses so bad? They can work in favour of the club - re Luai's. We get him for three of a five year deal and it allows us to free up cap money to secure players that are important for building the squad while allowing Luai to look after his best interest.
Clubs are always looking at ways to offload players that no longer fit into their plans.

I’m sure it was Dennis negotiating the deal with Isaac

Turuva won't excel at FB. He'll do his job defensively and in support play I'm sure, but he hasn't shown any ball playing ability. At this stage, he's nothing more than a fill-in fullback in firsts.
Give the bloke a break, he’s filling in , and when he has filled in he has been fantastic, really what do u expect from 😳

And what are the up-and-coming fullbacks' thoughts on hanging on? eg. Brookes, Attard etc.
Hate to lose Logan Brookes whose contract is up this year I believe.
Every time u resign an established first grader ,potential replacemens become available to the marketplace unfortunately
Like TDS..sometines youve gotta release next in line and groom the one following
We have a good nursey which is better managed now,so Panthers 2.0 hopefully

the club can’t win … they leave and it’s a disaster …they stay and it’s clearly because they paid overs …
No -one is saying that..the comment was in reference to 3 digits being" unlucky"..somehow the tealeaves change with $$
And btw..undoubtedly some of Luais $$ wld have suddenlty materialised to retain Bula
Probably paying him the $1mill that Moses always wanted, regardless of his real value..but thats the premium to lock in key players in the current environment

That’s speculation for now ..they have held firm a long time with Bula ..much to the angst of many here ..we’ll see if more leaks occur around the value ..Does the round $1m make it sound better for Moses ? Surprised his mouthpiece didn’t leak it then in his big reveal …

As you said ..they have a good nursery…so if they overpay a few big names they can promote a few talented kids to fill the gaps … You also need good players to attract good players as our club has painfully learnt over the last few years when they couldn’t hang on to decent players no matter how much they offered to overpay
