Telegraph reporting all three of Terrell, Taylan and Bula have ratchet clauses in their deals … hoped it was Bula only ..

Could cause some headaches down the track. Think they are really hoping Latu and Doueihi work out, because we won't have much cash to spare if we need a half.

I'd say he's a smokey and would be cut-price. Just depends on if he has gotten around to liking the tough stuff. Benj has always had good things to say about him. Never know, could be a Taylen May like signing.

I'd say he's a smokey and would be cut-price. Just depends on if he has gotten around to liking the tough stuff. Benj has always had good things to say about him. Never know, could be a Taylen May like signing.

I mean there is nothing to lose with a Herbert like off season deal I guess. Not sure he fits with Benji's new fitness ethos and standards though

There is reasons for optimism there right with those two … injuries aside …they also have Javon to see if they have anything there with him and are likely bringing in Tyrone May as depth according to rumours if they want to let Madden move on ..

I’m more worried about the outside backs .. they can’t win you a game but they can sure can lose them for you .., as we saw yesterday … Benji seems to think you can get by with kids or half measures like Naden and Toa

Agree they can be an excellent halves combo. Depth in the backs is a problems as well as a front line centre. We will also possibly need 2 wingers next year with Laulili leaving and Skelton not yet signed and out of favour.

They clearly want Makasini in the other centre spot, but he doesnt seem ready yet.

1) Bula/Tururva

We have 1 spot left, could upgrade Murray or Bunty, but don't think we will sign someone else for 2026 unfortunately, definitely need a backup hooker as hope ain't it if APi goes down

I think he could get a medical retirement due to his broken heart , his heart ain’t in it any more , he was terrible and dodged impact defence all day , needs to be dropped

Will Penisini would be great, but he’s another Isaac Moses client, so it would be hard to make that happen.
I’ve said many times that Jake Averillo would be a huge upgrade on To’a and he has the added bonus of being a very good backup fullback if/when required.

Probably would be asking too much too considering the money now invested in May and To'a and the likely amount needed to keep Makasini. Can't really pay 4 centres starting $.

I think we should prioritise getting To’a off our books, even if we have to continue paying half his wages to play the next 2 years elsewhere.
