TEAM LIST Team vs Storm [Round 10]

Team List
They need to kick deep to the corners, even kicking it over the sideline nice and deep, but not down the guts. Cronulla's kick receivers made huge metres returning the kicks down the middle, giving them a roll on.
I like the long and low style kicks into grass. They get there quicker and just seem to gain momentum and keep rolling along. Slower pick-ups. and returns. Play it at your end or the field, brilliant.
Madden was great in earlier season games but it seems to have been forgotten lately?
Bombs away now but too deep for our chasers to get there. Before you know it, they are back in our half.
IMO there are four types of kicks that need to be practiced; or drilled into the dedicated kickers.
1) Short high bombs that can be contested; usually Red Zone.
2) Long-deep bombs to the corners. Field position - pressure.
3) Long low kicks to the grass, that get there quicker and before the defenders can get to the ball that skid/bounce another 20m. Field position - pressure
4) Deft short grubbers behind the defence from the Red Zone

Even a straight line of 5 or 6 presented to Faalongo he can still burn
We need a straight line right across the park...or find touch, not as easynas it sounds
As for bunty and royce lining him up...they wouldnt get close
Not if someone has a hold of him and they come in second man and crush him, just time it right and don't send one of our own players off on the medicab.

last year it was Paps and Nelson that tore us a new one...those two are not there now. Although i do worry about Faalago however he was never a Tiger or tigers junior so less chance he will embarrass us.

"The Storm have conceded 44 of their 47 tries on the left and right edges, with the left side being the worst culprit." - As reported by Zero Sports.

Their left side has been diabolical, though both flanks are pretty vulnerable.

This game is all about credibility, Wests still have none.
The blokes on SKY made Melbourne a special to score "plenty" against the Tigers.
Even with the injuries and suspensions if the team cops a flogging from a pretty crappy Melbourne team then it's back to square one.
We're still a bit of a joke to most of the viewing public.

It’s because of the way we lost last week, losing by 40 points in the NRL is always laughed about no matter how many outs you have

Look at Brisbane heck even Parra, their injury tolls are worse than ours and they keep fighting every week

Last week we lost our 3rd spine player in 10 minutes and Luai wasn’t even fully fit. I think tomorrows game will say a lot more about this team

I'm very concerned about this, and yes i also think we are still a joke to the average punter.

A big test of character for the club around our new culture. "Good teams" bounce back after a poor performance, even with injuries, time to prove it.

I'll accept a 1-12 loss, only on the condition that Hughes, Munster and Grant are able to spark something. Back to square one otherwise.

We are missing 3 of the spine & our best edge attacking player in Samuela not to mention short kick offs & drops plus defensive kick chase.

Its definitely not back to square one.

It'll be what it'll be. Benji has changed for the edge defence & for the greater good on personnel put Mason at the back. In attack he can produce. Concerned about his D but think it's the best we had to choose from this week.

Makasini an out as well, Tavana low 🔅 n confidence & Toa not first grade standard...

There is work to do but if they win by 20 I won't be surprised. I just want the middle to hold their own. I think that gives us a chance & edge defence stands up.
