I think Manu, in his absence, is becoming an immortal!
IMO most players with speed lose that speed and effort slowly as they age. [Addo-Car the exception, but a winger, not a centre]
I think his best days are over, time to to find a new dream.

It’s just money from their Leagues Club and Laundy… also coaches don’t seem to get paid out years of their contracts anymore when getting the sack …Even tight ass Desy never got paid the full amount…depends on the fine print ..

Interestingly, Galvin is beating Luai in most stats this year. I'm not a a fan of Lachlan as he comes across as an impetuous child, however Jarome doesn't stand by his word, which is even worse.

Was thinking last night all he has is he's fit.

Had me fooled and excited when he was here, so I'm not going to say I never liked him or anything.

And I know I really shouldn't, but I do take great pleasure in the fact that in the time since he left the bulldogs have gone to shit and the tigers have improved (I have this medical condition... I can't remember the last two weeks of NRL...).

I don't see it as a litmus test by any means. I don't expect them to win, but do want a return to the 'beast mode' style they seem to have lost the last couple of weeks, as well as their resilience. Think no Api is a big reason for this.

They just need to get through this period of injuries and suspensions and keep in touch with the 8 imo.

As many have said, depth players are exposing them, but all fit they can mix it with any team.

Luai has just one less try involvement from 4 fewer games...

I don’t really put the current woes on Ciraldo ….he doesn’t have a squad of players that can win games the way they are being played ( and refereed) in 2026 .. they are slow all over the park …their props are mid and spine is one of the worst in the comp… sure he is making a lot of changes ..but what else should be do? Stick with getting flogged every week ?

The problem is that this is the squad that Gus put together and it sucks … he deserves to be punted at the end of this year …they need to start again and 69 yr old Gus shouldn’t be getting another chance to put the next squad together … Ciraldo is probably gone too… but he has been collateral damage and will likely get another chance elsewhere down the road …Gus will be back full time in the commentary box ..unfortunately

Expectations change quickly. Only two seasons ago they started being competitive and they were good for about 10 games last year.

Thwt overachieved to the max last year. Funny thing is, they were always going to come unstuck at finals time, but punting Sexton and Mahoney made them falling in a heap and subsequent form this year look totally incompetent.

Joey Manu at right centre would improve your team immensely and would be well worth paying 900k for a couple of seasons, but to be honest I don’t think he would even consider coming to us to play in the centres when it’s strongly rumoured he is being offered big money to play fullback for PNG.
We are getting that desperate for a decent right centre, it might even be worth our while to try and get him for just the 2027 season before he heads to PNG.
