Maybe he shouldn’t be on 500k a year while we work out if he’ll actually ever make it or not and getting basically no output from him?

That is huge money for an unproven player. Samuela has certainly lived up to his potential, such a shame he's out for so long. I hope we re-sign him asap.

Ok no worries, but those players are in the player pool - they are not from the mountains of PNG - you are conflating their nationality with available players in the market.

Not at all, they are not currently playing NRL, my point was that the top 30 for the chiefs won't all be current NRL players...

Watson is a good high effort player with spark. He’d be perfect for the short term. Gives us a genuine option for API when needed and can cover multiple other spots to a decent degree.

Allows Haywood to not be rushed and for Fainu to focus on his best aspects. Can’t go wrong with this signing but yes like others have said would hope it isn’t a 3/4 year deal.
