Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

That’s the point, replacing a few players who are not good enough to challenge for NRL positions or provide NRL quality cover when we have a couple of injuries.

Yeah I get it ..but it’s buying a longer term lottery ticket on unproven talent, more than a way of building a squad … a better way would be bringing in established players straight into the starting team and pushing players like Toa and Seyfarth ( assuming they both stay ) into the depth roles ..its overpaid depth sure …but they already made that decision

What if Bula doesn’t hold up Critta last play of the first half ?
Bula played well and was definitely in our top 3 players last night, but his try saved on Crichton only made up for a very poor missed tackle on Kiraz when he scored.
Not forgetting his dropped ball near halfway not long before halftime that very nearly cost us another try.
Not forgetting his brain snap pass to nobody on our own try line that nearly cost us another try and gave all the momentum to the Bulldogs due to our poor field position.

Was that before or after Twally giving away that dumb penalty that gave them that last chance to attack in the first half ?

Who are you saying were the other two in the Top 3?

Luai definitely in our top 3 players last night.
Probably Skelton just ahead of May for the other with others such as Madden, Turuva, KPP and Pole not all that far behind.
We have to give plenty of credit to To’a for his defence, but his attack was again very sluggish and lacklustre.

He isn’t and has never been a backrower

I have never seen what others have outside of being costly and not doing the job a forward should do. Showed it again last night.
He simply doesn’t have the speed and athleticism required for the modern day edge back rower.
Not his fault that Benji keeps playing him there due to lack of trust in our other options.
The good news is we will have absolutely no problem with a rival club buying out Seyfarth’s full contract if we want to let him go.
We will not have that luxury with a few others.

Absolutely Vicious. But to be fair to Bula - coming back from injury - Api suspension.

Family friend who’s close with one of the younger players, apparently for 27 but trying to get him early
If true Averillo will help us immensely being a specialist right centre with plenty of speed, a competent goal kicker and would also provide very good cover at fullback.
He is not a great defender, but his speed alone means he has the ability to get into spaces that many others are not capable of.
