So much depends on Api's potential SOO selection, if Skelton failed his HIA late, whether AD & Taylan make earlier returns than expected & the extent of Madden's injury.

But definitely ... Mav Geyer cannot be selected after that performance & Sione Fainu returns (hopefully as part of middle rotation on bench).

Smokey ... Jared Haywood to make debut at Leichhardt on the bench as a 20-minute dummy half replacement!

Could Lanyon or Hodges do a job instead of Hope? He is seriously terrible.
 
Well at least Tino is out although don't think he has been in great form. Their speed is off the charts and was hoping that Campbell may have been a smokey for QLD bench.
I will be surprised if Daley goes for Api - I dont think he rates him

Yes big fans of both but I don't think they are a chance given they haven't been training with the NRL squad.

I understand Josese has a T&T in the pre-season and hopefully Hodges lands one as well.

Whereas Haywood trains with the squad as a dev player and has x-factor if his role is to pinch hit for 20 mins. Yes may miss a tackle due to physicality (but no worse than Hope) but it won't be due to effort.

Haywood cant be rushed, he needs to develop still, hate rushing these kids out of desperation, Makasini is a clear product of this and is 2 years untill actually ready for NRL, Haywood is the same for me, not ready till 2028.

I agree but this may a combination of giving him a taste, the experience debuting at Leichhardt as a Balmain junior reps player & the x-factor he brings in a pinch-hitting capacity (no longer than 20 mins).

Might give the boys a lift in morale during this week too.

Agree, surely Haywood for 20 is worth a look in

I think we need to figure out where points can come from and game plan around that.

Api out of dummy half through the middle
Tino in the air
Bula out the back and also trailing KPP and Api.

Jock and Luai to straighten things up and kick to the corners.

Then just pick on defence and yardage.

Sadly, not many available to chop and change what we trotted out last week.

Depth is really being tested given we are down to Geyer starting in the back row.

We most likely lose another 3 for next game and gain nobody back

Hunt, Madden and api probably selected for origin

We’re on life support

I doubt he’d rate him after yesterday! I think Api blew any chance of a recall after that insipid performance.

For me im starting the best 13 players we have available and the putting unproven talent on the bench. Maybe that talent hasn't earned it yet, but sometimes those naturally gifted guys respond to opportunity. So im giving Broaderlow and Saukuru debuts off the bench.
