2026 Wests Tigers Injuries

Yes, I have to agree that the sheer amount of injuries especially to shoulders and also more than the occasional concussion WT should institute compulsory wearing of both approved head gear and shoulder pads to try to minimize injury. Anything to help.

Haven't listened to it but I was thinking the same thing.

All up , around 8 shoulder dislocations and long term pec injuries to Hunt and KPP.

I don't see too many league players but soccer players often don't do any contact work at all so when their legs get sweeper, they get bumped in the air or they get contacted in flight, they have poor landing and contact mechanisms leading to upper limb injuries.

If I look at how we have played this year, we are not very strong in contact. Our best meter eater in Turuva gets it done through toughness and going low rather than standing up and fighting.

May doesn't really win contact at all.

Pole uses footwork rather than strength.

Compare that to Bulldogs in guys like Kiraz, Sitili,, Thompson etc who go hard in contact and keep fighting in it.

I hope over the off-season, we do a lot more wrestling, not on ground though.

Interesting ladder when you look into it. Storm & Broncos are definitely feeling it. In reverse, what does that say for Canberra? The Titans? No excuses there.
It is hey. Broncos you’d expect to have a deeper squad after winning the comp but it’s still hurting them.

Wahs & Bunnies are not new to injuries (Metcalf, Barnett last year; Boyd this year) so they have built depth over a couple years as fringeys have had to play more game time & can now contribute when called up

Penrith…how???
