Coach Benji 👑

Not sure he "hooked" Terrell. More like he finally used him in the middle forward rotation like he should be used. Terrell came back on 2nd half. Hooked players usually don't
Effective middle forward rotation would be interchanging Terrell around the 30 minute mark then bringing him back on at the 50 min mark. 30 minutes each half.

Instead he played 22 minutes in the first half and 36 minutes in the 2nd half.

He made defensive errors prior to the warriors scoring 3 tries.

I maintain my position he was hooked.

Just watched the presser, Benjis like a rabbit in the headlights. So careful not to upset his boys, can’t give an honest assessment in there, let’s hope he’s BC à little more forthright in the dressing room !
Douehi pulled it together when he spoke. If Makasini holds that pass and scores 14-12 and game on.
But the truth is , one line break in 80 minutes, terrible defensive structures and little or no cohesion. All basic coaching responsibilities.

Well injuries had a big impact ciz we didn’t have the backup, plus APIs suspension. It just all turned to shit !
Every week it's just a constant shit show of players coming in and out of the team, you can't win games with all the disruption.

The players need games together to gel, new faces in the backs and forwards all the time adds up to disjointed attack and rubbish defence.

Unfortunately the off season can't come quick enough.

Api 3 week suspension, both second rowers out, confidence shot. Too much chopping in the halves. And the inevitable poor off field reaction to it all.
Fair enough. Just another frustrating year.

I’ve tried to be a Luai fan but he’s not worth what he is on. Luai is this years Galvin moment. What will it be in 2027? I reckon Terrell goes.

Benji needs to be told he's got 15 months to save his job. He will be given the best assistants we can buy, he will be given better physios etc.

All of his mates have failed and will be released.

He cannot argue. They haven't performed, so they get sacked. He also hasn't performed but is apparently a semi good man manager. Not good enough to inspire his team to play well, or to inspire his boys to try their hardest, so the jury is out on his man management.

In the end of he's tactically horrible, and can't motivate anyone, what does he offer other than a name?

If Benji goes he’ll go too, along with his brother and a few others that we’ll most likely need. If they decide to do it they’ll have to be ready for a very big overhaul, and there’s no way the players we lose we will be able to replace them with better or at best equal talent to what we have currently. Whatever they decide, they have to back it up.

Even if they get rid of his assistants why would they spend money on trying to get better ones and better physios? You know they won’t spend that kind of money. At best they’ll just get the bare minimum.

I reckon he was hooked and rightly so.
We definitely got TEMU Terrell in his first stint where he was far too soft.

And should he go the next guy is gonna fail to as the roster will be weaker with Benji gone. The club has to be prepared for that if they make that call.
Come on Ivan, we need a coach who knows how to build a team to win !
And don’t give me anymore crap about his previous recruitment, commitment etc.
At least have a chat with him !

You do know he’s retiring from full time coaching after next season right?
Never say never G95. That’s what he’s indicated, but à smart negotiator may be able to turn that around.
I know, I’m probably being hopelessly optimistic. but a big no fan and would just love to see it.
