I haven’t seen any footage, but reports are Talatau Amone the cousin of the Fainu boys is playing brilliantly since joining a Qld Cup club a few weeks back.
He is only 24y.o and his career stalled due to an off field incident, but it appears he is making the most of his 2nd chance so far.
I remember him as a strong ball running 5/8 with good speed and good deception with ball in hand.
Apparently 2 Sydney clubs have offered him a Train & Trial deal for 2027.
I know we are not really looking for another 5/8, but with his family connection another good quality player in the mix would not hurt.
Some may say this could potentially be a blockage for Josh Schuster, I think we will do our best to mould Schuster into the type of 13 we are looking for and will focus on him working hard and getting the job done in defence as we know his attacking ability won’t be a problem.

2 teams offer him a train and trial already .. does this mean we need to one up those and offer him a Top 30?

Keep expectations low would be my advice … Bennett couldn’t get anything out of this bloke … at least he came at zero cost

Schuster is here as a favour from the club to S.Fainu who asked Benjo to give him a shot....I don't expect to ever see him play NRL....

Courier Mail: Storm star Shawn Blore tours Brisbane Broncos facilities as club attempts to fill backrow void
The Broncos have ramped-up their aggressive recruitment drive with Brisbane targeting Storm grand final back-rower Shawn Blore.
This masthead can reveal Brisbane bosses have met with the Melbourne forward, who toured the Broncos’ facilities on Wednesday in the lead-up to Saturday night’s blockbuster against the Cowboys in Townsville.
The off-contract 25-year-old is without a deal for next season and has been in talks with Melbourne about extending.
Blore played against Brisbane in last year’s NRL decider but the Samoa international could find himself in Broncos colours next season as the defending premiers look to bolster their back-row stocks.
Strike back-rower Brendan Piakura has been stood down indefinitely due to a series of head knocks and Broncos coach Michael Maguire confirmed his interest in Blore.
“Yes, ‘Blorey’ is a player of interest,” Maguire said.
“We have to look at building our depth in the back row so we’re looking across the competition at a number of options.
“We haven’t made an offer to Shawn as yet, but we’re talking to him and we’ll see where it goes.

I think the only chance now he comes to us is if he wants to live back in Sydney. Probably has a better chance of a starting backrow gig at the Donkeys.
