If the high performance staff tick his card as OK then he should be able to play where the coach wants him to. He may not be at 100%, but so would half the NRL players at ths stage of the season.

If his shoulder is the issue that hus passing or tackling is below par it woudl be a known and accepted issue; however, shooting out of the line, chip kicks for himself, starving his outside men of ball are all things he surely would be aware of after the last four post match reviews.

Benji clearly wants to force change. IF Benji did nothing and we scored no points again this week plenty would want him hanging from a yard arm. He made a hard call, we don't have to like it, but we need to support him trying to do the right thing by the team in the eyes of the coaching staff who live and breathe this every day.

There have been a lot of fans on here debating AD’s role in the team both now and in the future. Many, like me, have voiced the opinion that he is not a 7 (as much as he seems to think he is), and simply does not have the necessary skill set to be one. Many have seen his value in the team but have struggled to find him a spot.
Yes, he has had some great games for us this year however when you study them you can see that those outstanding moments were based on individual efforts running mostly on the edges and certainly not from typical half back play. A matter of fact when he has tried to play as a typical half he has been very average in most facets.
Moving him to centre or lock is inevitable. To Benji’s credit he has done what many here thought he would not do. I don’t blame Benji here. AD has been this guy for years, happy while everything is going how he wants, but not a team man - selfish and a whinger. No thought for the club or coach here at all crucial time when the team needs to hunker down and close the circle and draw some faith and inspiration from its leaders. Instead he decides to blow the place apart entirely selfishly.

You cant on one hand talk about HBG and their lack of professionalism, then do the same thing under a business using the wests tigers brand.

I don’t care who you are but to walk out when the coach asks you to play in a different position is career ending at that club.

I’m pretty sure this position switch would have been talked about many times in the past. It didn’t come out of the blue.

Everyone talking about if AD was fit he would of been picked on the NSW bench … as a utility player. Can you imagine a Blues forward gets injured and AD is told to get on the field and play lock but he refuses?

AD has just stuffed any option he thinks he has. Most clubs would look at AD and think he’ll end up in the forwards but by demanding he only play in the halves has done it royally.

I think Benji has had enough.

Yeah really poor judgement for a decent utility player imo
