Boycott the remainder of the season

We only have one "home" game remaining at Parra v Saints.
Our last three games. are away...they wont make any difference whether our fans are there or not and i doubt many will turn up v Saints.
As GnR puts it off season amnesia will set in over summer, a new season and.absence brings new hope when people miss their footy.

I love going to watch us and enjoyed a few live games this season bot at CSS and LO when we were playing decent footy...if we keep dishing up what weve produced the last few weeks i wont be getting off my arse, or punching in credit card details for them

I’ve cancelled my membership auto renewal and won’t be buying the gift memberships I normally do. It won’t make a difference individually but if enough people do the same thing the message will get through.

When there is either a proper change of ownership / independence or we make the finals I will go back to paying for those memberships.

I am not expecting to need to put my hand in my pocket before 2035

I usually buy non ticketed membership and then choose to buy tickets for the games I want to go and see. Decision comes down to my mood at the time based on effort and results. Sadly I only get to one or two games a year. Supporting a club is about belief. I watch every game on Fox but that too is becoming a joyless experience. I’ll probably keep membership going but I’m not buying a game pack until I beleive in this club again.

I should extend my thread from 'this season" to "indefinitely". When you have players like Terrell saying, they have no loyalty to the club, only the coach, why cheer for him. Until players start showing loyalty to the jersey, we will never achieve anything. I say, screw supporting this club until change happens and I mean change of owners, coach and coaching staff. No one should waste theirs and their families hard earned money supporting a soulless club anymore. The only soul has been the supporters.

I cancelled my auto renewal as well, back in January. I did that because HBG sacked the independent board and that forced Shane Richardson out. I could see another failed season but the first few months of this season had me thinking that I made a mistake. Fast forward to today and we are the laughing stock of the league again.

What really has me seething is the last week where AD walked out and refused to play. I waited for the team to be named on Tuesday to see what Benji was really made of … then the team was announced and lo and behold he was named at halfback!!!

This club does not deserve success.

I was going to become a member this year, until Richo got sacked, which made me reconsider...

Honestly, someone should make a Change.org petition about this boycott and hope it goes viral enough for something to happen.

The problem with trying to boycott anything is that there are still thousands of deluded die hard fans, not on this forum, who will turn up no matter what is going on, so a boycott is never going to work and the club will just think everything is peachy amongst the fans and will start spruiking membership deals for next season. And so it goes on.

Those supporters honestly must love the punishment of watching such an insipid team go around every week, I just don’t get it.

I think it makes more of an impact on league HQ to have little kids bawling in the stands than having empty seats. A large supporter base who keeps turning up will be respected more when push comes to shove.

Yeah I don’t know about that. Things only got worse for the much publicised kid crying at the Cronulla game. The whole season spiralled downhill at a rate of knots from then on and no one has come to the rescue.

I got no issue with fans speaking up together but what is it that we want?

We want HBG out? Benji out? One homeground? No magpie? No Tiger?

What result are you / we hoping to achieve by taking a stand?

to what end?

Change of ownership? Not going to happen

Sack Benji? Maybe. That doesnt come without consequences though. Unhappy players, another rebuild, even less attractive for players.

Totally suck out any of the remaining morale in the playing group? Probably

Well an independent board was all I wanted.

An independent audit recommended just that.

HBG agreed with it, until it didn’t

They don't care about success of WTs. They are more concerned about how big the emblems are on the jersey and or if they're is too much of one colour that threatens the identity of another.
We had three good performances to sold out crowds at Leichardt and havnt won a game since, but if anyone dares call it a spiritual home there is uproar that it might upset those who call themselves WTs supporters - but only to a certain point.
At least the Magpie fanatics make their allegiance clear.
The players love playing there we own it as a crowd - much like Manly and Cronulla do with their grounds with similar capacities - and instead of that being a positive they make some tokenistic gesture to play three games a year there - even after the upgrade is complete. Don't believe for a minute that HBG are all on board with Campbelltown - we'd be there by now - they just can't stand the thought of Leichardt being the main home ground.
We just make it easier for other clubs especially those in Sydney - who we compete against for players - to put us in take the money and run box.
And we have become so bitter and twisted that there is an element that refer to the 2005 victory as a negative / fluke and find ways to lessen the value of what it takes to win a premiership.
And as for the HBG turning on Richardson making unfounded accusations to justify their actions... pathetic useless operators are what we are left with.
