I'm not so sure. It financially doesn't make sense for HBG to abandon the Tigers/Leichhardt given the proximity of the ground to Wests Ashfield compared to Campbelltown.
I wouldn't put it past them to do so but I think it is more likely simple incompetence than managed decline.

Shaun has come out in his thread and said the plan is to have 3-4 games at LO and 8 at CS. I consider 3 games to be abandonment.

if we are getting 16000 at Campbelltown and you take away memberships and half a fan base it will be an ordinary look.
Wests v goldcoast at Campbelltown with would be lucky to draw 8000

if just Campbelltown or leuchardt were the silver bullet then neither club would have had to merge.
If the club moves soley out to campbletown they are done it will be the end of them

it will say it all when 4 games at LO are completely sold out
and
At Campbelltown they will not be able to fill the ground with half priced tickets and 2 for 1 giveaways etc

other clubs are happy to brand as Dolphins or Dogs
not this place we have to always be wests tigers even when tou look at the nrl ladder, all other clubs are listed by mascot, dogs storm eels dragons
not this place though, it says it all.

The Tiger is an underused emblem at thai club

You can't even get the orange jersey anymore it sold out mid year, you.cant get the tracksuit.

Once again they dont care.
Its only the fans who suffer.
I saw someone post a link to a video from shane flannagan talking about playing tigers at LO vs CS... yet this club is so dumb they will give up that advantage

Once the heritage deed expires in 2030, the legal blockades lift. This will allow HBG—who holds a 90% majority stake—to theoretically re-negotiate the club's name, visual identity, or home stadium allocations if they choose to shift away from the traditional joint-venture model.


Go look how often we play in the white jerseys as opposed to our home orange ones which apparently was the wrong type of orange or whatever and HBG sacked richo.

HBG needs to go, not the legacy, but the board. The reality is that they will squeeze us until every hue of orange is gone, and they will continue to do so.

I believe they are also worried about the Rozelle Village development. It’s growing so quickly now, and with all the new retail and hospitality offerings, it will take a lot of business away from Wests Ashfield.

We found a way to get 3 Magpies on the jersey for a club with a Tiger as it's logo...more genius out of Wests Ashfield

Are people not entitled to their opinions? As soon as censoring occurs, there will be a new version of language that restricts thought. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, as long as it’s presented as a smart concept and open to debate.

My opinion is that HBG has done a poor job @mrcasino
