I found this about our club and HGB...

I don't believe our supporters have the discipline to cause a total membership collapse and that's why nothing will change.

We have 3 Magpies on our jersey (getting larger)...but we are Wests Tigers...when has HBG given a toss what the fans think? They'd force Balmain to sell in a millisecond and wouldn't give it a second thought.

I think people confuse the 2 things. The licence and ownership are not the same.

The licence is granted to Wests Tigers Pty Ltd.

Someone can own Wests Tigers, whether that is 90/10 or 100%...that doesn't change the licence. HBG could sell Wests Tigers and the licence would persist...

Similar to a liquor licence or pokies licences.
