Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I think he’d be a waste of time but I don’t make the decisions for this club
I thought the only incentive to bring him and the jail bird in was to tie the two sets of brothers up long term. The May’s are tied up (4 more years of Terrell plodding ways), so Tyrone has zero value now. As for the jail bird, hopefully the NRL has something in place (his ankle monitor is an issue) where he won’t get registered, and the club can shrug and tell the brothers they tried.

Alright I’m not continue to go on. I’m gonna go through it one last time and leave it

- There’s a bit push and shove in the tackle. They stand up. Gagai shoves big red who slaps him in the face
- Whistle is blown. No penalty awarded as yet
- Klein calls both players over. Tells them to settle down. Tells Gagai penalty is going against him
- Everyone starts to go back to their marks
- Bunker tips off Klein that big red’s slap was the bigger offence. Advises he reverse the penalty and bin big red

The bunker intervening is what blew it up. Big red did not go over and slap Gagai after the Raiders got the penalty. I’m not saying anyone is claiming that. But using myself as an example as someone who didn’t see it live. After seeing Stuart’s presser, I assumed that must have been what happened. But then when I actually watched it, I was like “that was it?”. Even had to go back and watch it two or three more times to make sure I didn’t miss anything. It should never have been a Raiders penalty to begin with.
Thats ok..
Horsborough initially hit him in the face in the tackle....and then hoppaed him...before all you stated above

Quote from Katoa: How refreshing.....I wish our guys felt this way!

“I’m completely happy here,” Katoa said.

“To be honest, I’ve got no aspirations to leave the Dolphins.

“I owe this club everything.

“I know there’s other clubs out there and opportunities, but the Dolphins gave me an opportunity straight out of high school to come and live out my dreams.

“My biggest goal is to repay this club.

“I know the biggest way to repay them is with a championship.

“So I’m not looking to go anywhere else ... hopefully I can win a premiership here.”
A lot of our guys do feel and talk this way, heard it many times.

Firstly it was Benji's decision to recruit Luai and put him in the position he did, you can't absolve Benji of any responsibility for what's happening. He wants to control everything then he has to wear the consequences when it goes to shit.

Secondly Both Benji and the club have destroyed any remaining credibility they had by the way they handled the AD situation.

It was incredibly weak to allow him back into the team with zero consequences. He intentionally leaked to the media on other team members and was rewarded with an immediate return to his favoured position.

The team is completely fractured which is why we are playing in such a pathetic manor and have been for the past 3 months. That's all on Benji, you don't get to have full control and no responsibility......
Did you read the part where I said he was blindsided?

If anyone has wondered where Elijah Mataale ended up this season, he has been plying his trade for the top of the table St Mary's Saints in the Sydney Shield competition.

Mataale was a vital middle forward in our Jersey Flegg team last year earning a pre-Christmas train-and-trial deal with the NRL team. Not sure what happened.

Latu has said similar things.

I guess with our club at the moment you need to swap out "club name" with "benji"

That's a cop out, Benji recruited him and Benji selected him as the team captain and built the team culture around him.

It's all fallen to shit so Benji wears the consequences.

Last year it was Galvin this year it was Laui both players Benji has back to the hilt. Seems Benji can't select players with the correct character.

What's the ready made excuse for Benji next year when it all goes to shit again.....

He is in charge of everything so he take the blame when it all goes pair shaped....

I don’t think anyone saw PNG becoming what it has. Maybe there’s something to be said about the clauses being in his contract but we’re a weak club with no negotiation power and players without clauses have just requested to negotiate early anyway (To’o, Munster, Leota) so likely same result.

What do you think the Bulldogs have done with Galvin? Maybe they coaches see something in him that fans don't get yet.
The point has nothing to do with Galvin, it's the fact the key People Benji has built the team and culture around have caused our demise 2 years in a row.

If Benji wants to make all the big boy decisions then he needs to wear the big boy consequences....
