Didn't believe those ridiculous figures for a minute, if they want all their brothers here expect some salary sacrifice, accept a fair offer, not overpriced.

I can’t see how we’d get him for much less really. You would think PNG and Bears would pay nearly a $million for the best young back rower in the game. You are certainly paying for potential, not the finished product.

With tax free dollars on offer I think he’ll only stay if it’s for family reasons, and if Benji has a solid relationship.

Our CEO recently said (exaggerated no doubt) , “if someone offers him $2m we will not completely ruin our cap”.

I’ll be happier when they both sign up… I would think getting both at $1.2 would be way better than what most would have been thinking .. it’s 20 percent more than what they are getting ( combined now) .:; although Latu should probably be on $400 tops

No one knows it's all speculation, the 1.2mil package deal might only be for the 1st year of the extension then it ratchets upwards, surely something would be written into Latu's deal if he finally reaches his potential, he'd be worth more.

Take no trust out of media speculation today, they just make shit up, don't even believe the figures tossed around for Terrell's dollars.

Almost too reasonable to be true..am ok to include ratchet clauses on this,Latu remains my major concern...
Just havent seen enuff to lock him in as our half for 3 or 4 years,so if u want ratchets need a performance clause for him
Am ok with Samuela..he will be very good with or without Benji...maybe outstanding without..

If I had to make a prediction it will be 900k for Samuela and 650k for Latu. Around 1.6m together

I’d probably make Samuela a $million player but on the proviso it’s long term and he’s working towards being a leader and possibly future captain.

Latu then has to accept a little less based on his injury history. And we offer Manase an opportunity to play footy again (KOE obviously to start) if he’s up to it and the NRL allow it.

Atm,hes still a project...and is optional
..we need to seperate Samuela who is proven from Latu unless it helps rather than hinders retaining Samuela
