Can still get the spoon

They might avoid the spoon this year but next year is looking rather ominous, a coach without a clue and a roster with more holes in it than a cheese grater. Some might say Norths are looking like good candidates but the league won't have them collecting the spoon in their first year back.

I’m actually still trying to work out how we won in 2005, some sort of aberration ?
It was an incredible run in the second half of 2005. We beat the -

R14: Sharks
R16: Dragons
R17: Eagles
R18 : Roosters
R20: Bunnies
R21: Sharks
R22: Raiders
R23: Cows
R24: Dogs

And then we rolled the Broncs, Dragons and spanked the Cows twice in the finals.

We had a High-IQ footy team that year that punched way above their weight. Prince, Benji, Robbie, Pat, Brett, Dene and Chris were outstanding.

I went to all our home games and the finals that year. It was brilliant, unfortunately I can't see that happening again anytime soon.

Typical Tigers, it seems that we have left our run too late / sarcasm

Tigers 20 points -213 - Roosters, Cowboys, Penrith
Titans 18 points -154 - Sharks, Souths, Dolphins
Broncos 18 points -198 - Raiders, Storm, Dogs
Dragons 14 points -263 - Dogs, Sea Eagles, Eels

My prediction:

Tigers - L L L
Titans - L L L
Broncos - L L L
Dragons - W W L

Tigers - 20 Points
Titans - 18 Points
Broncos - 18 Points
Dragons - 18 points and most likely spooners on F&A.

If the Titans & Broncos jag a win, we need a Dragons L in there because our F&A is about to explode.

100%. If the NRL were serious they’d kick this club out of the comp.
Totally incapable of keeping up with rival clubs, totally incapable of acting like a professional franchise. Constantly fighting amongst themselves. Pretty awful brand of football to watch when on TV and Channel nine gives lots of Sunday 4pm games due to our audience but they regularly just drag the product down.
It’s a miracle we still exist.

If this club had the supporter base the likes of Manly/Sharks, we would have been gone by now I would think. For whatever reason, we still have a large fan base that will still turn up or tune in.

This club is a stain on the game.

We may not get the spoon but we really deserve it.

I can’t get my head around Douehi refusing to play against the Raiders but it absolutely baffles me that the coach picked him next game… and at halfback!!!
Basically sums up the club. Weak above and weak below. What chance do you have..

When we got the spoon a couple of years ago I thought we were a tad unlucky and probably a better team than a couple of other teams. This year we will just miss the spoon but we are the worst side by some distance.
Certainly after say Week 10. At some point our early season team was abducted by aliens and replaced with lookalikes. Or maybe those guys who tore apart the Warriors away were the imposters…
