It was an exciting time when this thread was created. Sure, we’d just lost Tedesco, but for the first time in 3 or 4 years, we had money to spend on the market, which was the basis for its creation to begin with. Then we went to sign a long list of busted players and repeated the cycle all over again.

Yeah honestly, it seems no matter who is in charge, our recruitment is always terrible.

It seems we have stuffed our cap again til 2030, so with that goes any glimmer of hope.

If I was in charge I would be trying to flick every player we re-signed before their value depreciates and re-build this club from the ground up. I am sure PNG and Bears would take them.

Get Gus to do the job. He has overstayed his visit at the Dogs, and is probably the only person that can come in here and turn this around.

Good point perhaps mighty mouse not bringing enough spark in that position. Was thinking myself recently recruitment has been boring since those peak tim sheens macca days. Lote, dwyer, lui, Marshall, farah Lawrence, koro, teddy, moses, those days are dead

He’s done what Justin Holbrook has done with Newcastle, taking them from wooden spooners to contenders in one season. Quite impressive from both coaches.

Sandercock out coached the Warriors coach on the weekend. Switched a couple of players sides to contain Mele Hufanga & the girls nailed it. Has a no nonsense approach as well. Doing a great job

Yep we have a hiring problem. Catching, passing, tackling, backing up, kick chase, etc etc etc.

It's so hard to cop isn't it. I remember the days I would refresh the WT website an infinite amount of times to see whether Koro/Nofa were named for their debut haha

He was our attack coach a few years back and did a good job. We urgently need a new attack coach and a defensive coach. Come to think of it, a new head coach would help to

Instead of paying a little extra to keep them happy, we let them go and used their money towards players who inevitably failed.

Keeping the big 4 together at the time could have been a major turning point for the club.

In hindsight, keeping Tedesco was never going to happen. His ceiling was too high. Once the Roosters come calling, we’re like David competing with Goliath.
