The Herald Sun described the woman as “hysterical”. Not upset. Not distressed. Hysterical. That’s a loaded choice of words. “Hysterical” doesn’t simply describe an emotional reaction. It suggests that the woman’s reaction itself was irrational, excessive or unreasonable. It subtly shifts the focus from what happened to her to whether her response was acceptable. That’s low key victim blaming. Frame her as “hysterical”, and suddenly the story becomes about her behaviour rather than what she experienced.

What do you expect from a Murdoch paper,i am only surprised they haven't found a way to link it to a Labor government somehow.

Victim? Victim of what exactly,?
Well, I am sure you know but to be clear..A victim is a person who suffers physical, emotional, or financial harm from a crime, an accident, an illness, or bad luck. The word also describes someone who has been tricked or cheated by another person, or an animal or person offered up as a religious sacrifice. I think using victim in this context is justifiable. Take your pick as to how she was victimised. Physical and emotional are two ways - unfortunately for her.

Supposedly Cocaine has been found in the room
The thing that shocked me most that in yesterday's interviews neither of the Swans officials apologised to the victim and it was the press that had to bring it up

I have no knowledge of the incident, though unsurprised at their lack of care, especially if it was a woman.

Victim? Victim of what exactly,?
Well facial injuries for a start, have u seen the photo ? Had a sex toy thrown at her and copped if flush on the face, not a very pretty sight and I’m sure not what the girls signed up for ?
Inappropriate touching, it sounds like there was a “look but don’t touch”clause in the negotiations but somebody broke that rule !
Yes, I know it’s hearsay, at this stage, but from what I’ve seen and read that seems like two major complaints.
And it is narrowing down to one major suspect !

Heard 1 report that said the disturbance moved down to the lobby and club officials came and then police were called. It was made to sound like club officials heard what happened wanted the police involved. Kudos if that’s the case for not trying to sweep it under the carpet.

My wife heard ( don’t know where ) that the club made sure the women were ok first and foremost
The club also had a meeting with their women’s team and reiterated that supposed behaviour is not acceptable at the club

A perspective of mine is that if this is how it was handled I applaud the actions. Don’t know if any nrl club would of handled it any better

Let he who hasn"t gone the grope while snorting coke off the knockers of a stripper giving you a lap dance cast the first stone.
