27 August 1908, Australian legend, Donald George Bradman was born in Cootamundra, NSW.
Often referred to as "The Don" he was widely acknowledged as the greatest batsman of all time representing his country in 52 Tests and scoring 6996 runs including 29 test centuries.

27 August 1902, Women's Franchise Act gave women the right to vote in NSW state elections.
It passed on the third attempt & followed similar success on the Federal stage when Australia became the 2nd nation to give women the right to vote.
