TEAM LIST Round 26 vs Cowboys

Team List
Will be very hard to "ambush" a second time. Cows are very hot and cold and i don't think they handle pressure games very well. They are currently 8th place and 1 win ahead of the dogs. They also have a poorer for and against than the dogs so this game is a must win for them. If the Dogs lose on Friday it will cement them in the top 8 and if the dogs win it will keep them a win ahead. Cows have all to play for in this game so you would think they are going to be up for it, however may fall apart if things go against them early.

I also hate the dogs so much that if they beat the panthers I will not be too upset if the cows beat us.

Referees: Grant Atkins;Sideline Officials: Ziggy Przeklasa-Adamski, Dillan Wells;Video Referees: Wyatt Raymond;

Who is going to be sin binned for us first? 🤦‍♂️
It'd be either Api or Seyfarth

The refs know and contributed to Api's sin bin record, some very harsh calls behind more than just one or two of those.

The refs also know Seyfarth plays aggressively and with passion. They know he will defend his smaller teammates and that if he cops a cheeky punch, a deliberate elbow or knee, an eye gouge, coat hanger etc or is otherwise provoked he WILL more often than not lash out in retaliation.

But who knows?

We've seen the absolutely game influencing inconsistency in refereeing and at the judiciary, nearly always seeing the Tigers players copping innocuous/dodgy penalties against them, including sin binnings where identical or WORSE situations have seen other sides punished with only a penalty, or indeed even that!

Then our guys have generally copped harsher penalties/sentences at the judiciary on some of the VERY SAME innocuous/dodgy charges, this also stretches to the Match Review Committee and stretches back a few seasons now.

Anyone just know that when hoff on the west tigers life podcast last night was talking about musicians he would like to carry his casket he really just wanted to be upfront that he wanted the great Dennis (only fans , instagram ) Burgess to be the main pall bearer .. it’s all good Hoff .. 👍😉
Too funny Neddy. Whilst I love my Magpies I can 100% confirm he didn't come to mind 🙂

One to consider
How far down the pecking order is Turuva at,
at this point in time ?
How much is his contract worth and are PNG interested in taking him off our hands in 2028 ?
Can’t believe we let the Laulili brothers go and extended Turuva.

I'd say he's first choice winger
Only on the extended bench due to injury.

Not likely to go anywhere.

Extended Bench
He is either available to play or out for the rest of the season like Doueihi.
If he is as you say our first choice winger no wonder we are where we are on the ladder.

He is out of form right now (like many) but his average puts him in our better players vs NRL competition by position.

To be fair to him, when your centre struggles, your second rower struggles and your play maker can’t create… wingers do tend to struggle

It's amazing, isn't it, how little memory some folks have? Turuva scored his first try for us in a hell of a long time (the 1st by any back in, like, months) vs the Dragons and then was injured last week. But before that, he had largely been playing in the centres for the injury-prone Toa. Add the fact that, thanks to Dooeee, the backs never saw the ball for two months; he has appeared less effective cos his usual job of bringing the ball back from a long kick was handed to Tino or Skelton. When he did get a run, it was not good ball and he often had his head ripped off. Turuva has suffered from the lack of a ball-playing halfback and the Toa cover. He is a genuine classy try scoring winger.

It has been sad to watch Sunia being constantly shifted around in the three-quarters and filling in at fullback too pretty well all season.

Honestly I wouldn't be upset if he went to PNG..
He's a decent player, but we're paying him too much, and I'd rather some tall aerial threat wingers instead..

Thinking back, have we ever had good aerial threat wingers? I honestly can't think of any?

Go back to early season, Tito and T'oa were the gun combo, scoring heaps of tries and letting none in. Lousy halves stuffed both of them.

Luke is decent yes. Kit will be medically retired soon.

Turuva does a lot of dirty work. Always gets to his stomach too:
