No idea why Benji persisted with Luai gor so long. Id say cause if he benched him hed have to explain why 1.2 million is spent on the bench. Luai, injuries and Benjis arrogance killed our season.

Well, it is an end to a tough year. Penrith are in a different class to our side and deserved the minor premiership. We have some hope for the future, but we cannot get around the fact that resourcing of our identification, recruitment and development requires a significant increase. Until this occurs, we will still be battling. Thanks to all forum members for supporting WTs through this year.

Ok somehow that game was not as bad as I thought and I thought apart from our random defensive lapses and atrocious first half we competed relatively well and our attack was relatively good at times, just the panthers are so defensively strong that we couldn’t quite convert to points.

I think there is a lot of promise to take into next year we just need to hope our S&C staff do a good job over the off and pre-season so less of our big guns get injured over the year.

Definitely a fail of a season this year though. Time to hope and pray we suddenly get better again next year 🙄

They actually identified a weakness on that right side and went after it wth some success …

Penrith are not as great as they once were IMO ..we didn’t throw enough at them in the attacking 20, and it’s a major weakness in this team that the current coaching staff can’t fix… in defence WT couldn’t shut them down … better teams will know how to do these things

You’ve been saying this for a long time Tucker, and you’ve nailed it!! We need a thorough clean out of all coaching staff pronto!! Even Cooper Cronk said earlier that our team has skill!! Not a fan of the bloke , but he is correct!! I’m sick and tired of seeing the same disorganised team front up, week in , week out , with zero direction from the coaches, so obvious

I don't think we're as bad as some of the doomsday preppers think.

A few of our best players this year are;
KPP, Twal, Taylan, Royce and despite your feelings... AD.

Currently all injured.

Throw those 5 in the team + Averillo & Brails.
Hopefully a few more heavy hitters and we aint looking that bad.

On paper, on par with teams like NQ and South's, who made the 8.

Idk, but we played better 🤷‍♂️. I think if a coach does something and the team does better it’s normally considered a good move 👍.
