Look no one knows the whole story but the fact of the matter is he refused to play. You just don’t dog your team like that. It’s unprecedented.

He’s had a blow up before about not being played in the halves.

AD is honestly one of the most overrated players to pull on a Tigers jersey. He has a 7 game patch of form and played like shit the rest of the season.

He can’t organise, he’s got no short passing game and can’t give his backrow or outside backs any good ball. He’s a one trick pony with a decent running game. That’s it.

No need to have him in the side. I’d much rather spend his $500,000 contract on someone with the heart and toughness to play back row or lock. Someone like Mann.

If I get a vote it’s a no to staying

Refused to play in a selected position under both Benji and noddy

Would rather not play or play cup if not selected in his determined position

Totally unacceptable irrespective of his perceived ability (+ his not s 7 )

That is only hearsay which has since been denied by Doueihi himself.

This standard (ugh... There's that word again....) is one of the (many) things that holds the club back from being successful while others thrive.

I would honestly pay half the guy's salary to move him on - I really think it would help that much.

When our 2026 Player of the Year in Twal and our most wholehearted player throughout 2026 in Seyfarth have both thrown their full support behind Doueihi, I think that indicates there was good reason for his actions.
But our fans with no idea about the situation, other than what they hear and see in the media, think they know better.

You mean the same way the majority threw their support behind shane Richardson? You really pick and choose when you want to apply certain logic dont ya

Totally concur wuth yr description of Twal and Seaforth...all heart
...but theyre commitment to Douai is more out of supporting teammates because thats what you do(unless yr Luai!!!)
And whilst many criticise Douhi and his deficiencies,and ritely so ..he was our only consistent line breaker when fit
Dont wish to discard him..but dont want him at 7.Im even nervous at 6,but his experience will benefit Latu at 7
Dont wanna throw 2 kids into the halves together..huge mistake we learnt that lesson a decade ago surely??

Some very good points.
We are be a much lesser team without Doueihi’s tackle busting and line breaking ability.
It takes away from his strengths when he is playing at 7, hence his best games in 2026 were when Jock Madden wore the 6 jersey, but was clearly playing as our dominant play making 7.
Correct in saying we have 2 young and highly talented halves, but it’s very risky and unlikely to work if we throw them both in the halves together at NRL level to start the 2027 season.
They ideally need an experienced halve alongside them to give them the extra time and experience they require.
I love how we have a core of supporters who love voicing their opinion that they think we should simply kick Doueihi to the curb, but have no idea how we replace him between now and the start of tbe 2027 season.
