Do you think he would be at clubs like Roosters or Storm? This is one of the reasons why a lot of our juniors have not lived up to the hype, because they have been blooded way too early.

I'm going to disagree with that premise.

Every successful club, across all sports, understand that they have to separate the wheat from the chaf.

The NRL is a business, and we've proven that we are terrible at our part of the business.

We are slim on big bodies who have good speed off the mark and we are slim on players who are genuine tackle busters and line breakers.
It’s beyond me why we have any supporters who cannot see and understand this if we expect to have a successful team.
This doesn’t mean Doueihi is an automatic selection, he will have to earn his position in the top 17 like everyone else.

I think we all understand that Doueihi is a tackle buster Vicious - that was never the question. What Doueihi has to understand is that if he wants to play in the NRL it will not be as a half. I'll add that he needs to swallow his considerable ego and do what the coaches tell him if he wants to stay at the club.

Betterday22, I don't understand why the signing of a very talented junior impacts the prospect of another very talented junior. It is not as though our club is overrun with very talented juniors. We need to adopt the big picture view just like the Roosters and even the Knights.

Let's hope Breynton can get it together at WTs. I read a post which advised he played for the Māori Under 15s which with his stepping and attendance at Keebra Park means he has commonality with Marshall. It will be good to watch his progression under Marshall.

Good post. Doueihi and Bula are perhaps our only two backs that can go the length of the field. Our first game against the Warriors highlighted how important this is to a team.

Fingers crossed mate. Sounds like a good signing. Its up to the club to convince juniors to stay and compete without having to promise them the world.

Leck I don't think your use of stats in the case of Madden do not paint a clear picture of his ability. Firstly his the rating of 10th for kicking meters is incorrect as this stat according to your graph was for kicks per game. He had 180 kicks over 18 games which represents 10 per game, not how effective they were.
His defence of 295 takles made, would only represent about 15 per game (this only relates to takles he was involved in, not one on one tackles). Jock's problem is his decision making within the defencive structure, often he is in no-mans land and doen't get involved so these are not counted as missed takles.

Luron Patea .. 22 years young .. a prop .. he is a mountain of a lad .. been in the Penrith system for a while .. but can’t break into the top grade .. when is their next big thing in the forwards but due to salary cap issues at the Riff .. he’ll be forced to look elsewhere .. I say let’s strike before everyone starts chasing him .. !!

Not be logical to allow our team to succeed, very annoying.
We have 5-10 people who regularly suggest potential signings and at times make some very good suggestions.
We have 5-10 people who regularly provide updates on signing news which is very informative.
We have 5-10 people who regularly watch and provide informative updates and/or match reviews for our lower grades and pathways.
We have 5-10 people who are very good and very smart with their analysis of games and individual player performance.
Those who do not fall into those categories just come on here to whinge and whine and be critical of those who actually have an opinion or post sonething informative.
