in this game SA threw away a few wickets from bad shot selection but due to good bowling.

india and england bring something extra to a summer it would be good if they could be here more often the pims bring a good atmosphere

new zealand they play ok as a team but lack that brilliance
i think they can beat aussies but I would want a $3 price to find out over four test series. They should have that grit about them to hang in there unlike the poms. It should be a competitive series.

Do think india get the job done at home against aussies

some are super passionate about Smith for sure lol
some take their cricket very seriously lol
last summer was outstanding the meltdown from a select person on here about anything negative Steve Smith was too funny

like aussie bowling is sensational

batting is pretty weak i reckon still, last yesr it was Head and Smith that got aussies going, how long can Smith keep going for ?

it is slim pickings, Travis Head bats well at home but not sure he is an opener really.

So what do we set SA based on 2 full days

Bat for 2 sessions and half and hour

Try and set them 360 to 380

Sound good .....thoughts

Maddinson obviously trying to prove he can score runs after a 33 ball duck but a 38 ball 40 isn’t test batting either.
It’s hard to have a settled line up without a couple of decent openers.

What's the answer though? Renshaw probably has the best technique and temperament for an opener but who else is there? Head is great when he comes off. Maddinson is a huge question mark.

I see lots of criticism of selectors but I also don't see a lot of answers to the openers question. We have a lot of guys who can bat 4-5 at international level, very few who can bat in the top 3.

If we can 380 + ahead by tea I declare then
