2026 Rugby League World Cup fixtures - October/November

I remember when i was a kid many years ago when Australia toured France and in one game the penalty count was something like 20+ to zero and and an Aussie complained and the ref said "Oui monsieur but this is my town and i have to live here".
Back in the 50's or 60's.
Can remember one of the Walters twins getting penalised for not playing the ball fast enough in a French game ....I think the penalty count was 20 something to 2
They were scared in the French provincial side actually scored the Aussies wouldn't win based on ref
Read some horrific ref stories playing against NZ provincial games as well

Sad to say for me I missed the game completely! I’m all footballed out from our disappointing season, so I switched off and forgot all about it. By the time I realised it was on I couldn’t find where to watch it lol. I’m flicking through the channels like an idiot trying to catch the last 10 minutes, in a million years I never thought it would be on channel 7, so I didn’t even go there! Sounds like I missed a good game. Oh well, the season’s too bloody long to keep on watching anyway.
Watch it mate it's different to what the Wests Tigers play. I'm not sure what sport they engage in but it sure as shit ain't rugby league

Thanks, Dr. So the bureaucrats of World Rugby League and Ch7 couldn't provide the biggest marketplace for Rugby League on the planet with game highlights in a timely fashion, despite providing the usual try and interview material last night. Just watched them; looks like NRL.com got them mid-morning today. Australia very lucky given the 2 intercepts in Kiwi attacking pozzies.
The highlights were on YouTube immediately

Hardly comparable. Australia's biggest loss in the world cup is 4-0. Samoa scored 14 tries against France.
But Australia would still struggle to beat the 5th best French side in football. Would have a lot more European sides in the World Cup if they didn’t have qualifying quotas by region
