Connor Tracey. Oh dear. He is good defensively - catching the ball, last-man tackles - and taking a reasonable hit up. Has zero x factor though and will contribute SFA to your scoreboard.
Jeremy Marshall-King has turned out to be one hell of a hooker. It took a while for him to get there but man back when he played his solitary game for us I never thought he'd be this good.
Played well for Samoa. His long kicking game was really good. I didn't see him do that for us this year. Everything was high and landing around the 10m mark. Almost set up the potential winning play twice. On one occasion his outside players weren't backing up on his outside.
Good signs ahead...
Is also good for a really good game now and then to make you think he's finally going to fulfill his potential, but then immediately goes back to his bad habits. Case and point - preliminary final vs grand final performances.
Pole this year reminded me of Stefano last year. Disinterested at times, lots of errors, not running very hard. Hope he turns it around next year, otherwise I wouldn't be sad to see him go to Melbourne.
Every day I thank whoever put that deal together. It gives me comfort knowing that I don't have to worry about his contract status. He's there whether we like it or not, and I like it a lot.
Don't see a FG future for Kit, maybe way down the road after a long journeyman career. Luke still needs 2 years of development learning to catch balls and defend, but he will only be 21 at that time and will be a decent player.
