i think he will be locked up with an upgrade. He’ll want to stay with his brothers and most importantly, I think Sione is key to the building the Tigers playing identity the Benji has spoken of.

Good team - Taateo has been really good in KoE and probably deserves a start although Kit hasn’t been bad either. El-Zakhem carries the ball strongly but his defense is a bit hit and miss as is his offloads.

I thought it was refreshing to see one of our players hit a hole at speed. Magic pass from Romey though (Taylan looks quite quick in clean air)

Makasini didn’t look out of place in KoE. If anything he looked a class above that level but it is a big jump to NRL. Overall, I think Benji is doing an outstanding job with Latu in building him up slowly which is what I would line to see with Makasini.

3 - Sione 2 - Romey 1 - AD

Would be happy to get Walters (or even Simpson at a pinch) to provide a backup for Api. I was a little disappointed that TDS left but he reminds me a bit of Liddle who took a long time to develop but lacks the craft of a top class dummy half and is a little one dimensional in his game.

Moses has a short memory. Some of the things he did when he was 20 at Wests Tigers was way more infuriating than what Talyn did today. True leader would have handled things quite differently.

Interesting thoughts regarding that AD only plays for contracts. My personal opinion is that you see the best of AD is when he is the main man and has the opportunity to play as a half and direct the play. I think he doesn’t enjoy being in the centres as has to wait for the ball and his options...

I watched Mavrik closely when he played Wests in KOE. Had a weird feeling he could be on our radar - as an attacking threat he was quite difficult to handle, always made metres against us and defence was solid. I am thinking this may be a bit better than what peeps are expecting.

I think he needs a full pre-season there. Also I thought he preferred the left which is Luai’s side. It hasn’t helped that we needed to change much of our attack when Galvin left. Happy for him to get confidence and just play consistent footy this stage.
