The silly Immortals concept should have been retired when RLW died. It was only a promotion to sell Port after all. If naming players every few years they just end up naming most of your Hall of Fame anyway eventually. I find it all a yawn.

Sure his GF record is good but its not as though he hasn't lost finals games before. He has lost dozens of them with full strength qld/club origin teams. Couldn't find a win after 93 so they had to create sewer league to kill of the competition and bust the salary cap. Myth.
NSW government bid to host the GF (expiring in a few years). With competition he can drive the price up. He doesn't know jack about Rugby League but he does know business.
If you don't talk about it you will never be desensitised to it. As therapy for watching Mick Neil head hit the line you watch JT trip over in the 05 GF after kicking downfield and leaving a gap for Benji. Have never seen it happen to him since.
