Round 1 other games **spoiler alert **

Holmes is a great fb under the highball for a winger..

P.S. Wd Knights suk a big one Manly..

I gotta say, I don't know if its just because its early season but, that Newcastle game was pretty entertaining. The team still looks pretty rusty but, their new blokes know how to make the game look good.

Ponga has some skill. Pretty rough though. And Pearce is doing exactly what the Knights would want of him

Manly and the sharks losing, great night.

Add broncos & roosters to that list & it’d be a great weekend!

:sign:

Would top off the weekend very nicely

On another note, how's channel nine's form? This weeks games were Dragons v Broncos and Cows v Sharks, next weeks games are Cows v Broncos and Dragons v Sharks - the exact same 4 teams!! Aren't there any other teams in the NRL?!

Didn’t the NRL do the draw this year? You can blame them for that

Ava had a starting spot here, and left to be a bench player 😂

I had a lot of respect for him and the way left, till he decided to run the club down in the off season. He can get stuffed.

The Broncos are in a spot of bother methinks. Bennett tried in the post game to blame his forwards (and they weren’t great granted, but they went alright) but the reality is that they they were the footballling equivalent of insanity - trying the same thing over and over expecting a different result. The only time they looked even remotely dangerous was when Jimmy the Jet got a bit space. The rest was the usual block play, block play, Boyd chimes in.
No short passes, nothing against the grain, no early ball, nothing. It was very predictable, and very pedestrian.

Broncos got owned by the Dragons forwards . TPJ was their best & there was a significant drop in go forward when he was subbed off . Last year they had Essesse on the bench to keep the momentum going but he’s at Newcastle now .
By comparison when the Dragons went to their bench , Leeson Ah Mau ran 143M in 10 runs & that’s where the game was won .

The Cows will beat the Broncos next week & so will we the week after that

Thaiday won't see the season out. He looks like Bruiser Clark out there. Today's Bruiser too, not at his peak.

I want to really cheer the knights on but if they go well I can see Pearce getting a blues jersey again.
