That’s a very fair comment and no doubt the players (and managers) do not want a draft. I get the perspective. It’s a balance between player vs system and I think it’s skewing a little too far one way at the moment. Just my opinion.

Draft system would be fairer to the clubs and fans.

Because to pry the elite players (or any player) away from the top 4-5 sides you need to pay overs: paying overs with a limited cap means your depth suffers. they want to win a premiership.

Everyone’s a winner (except NRL lol)

There’s only 1 premier each year and a lot of players aren’t “happy” unless they have a chance at it. Having a salary cap only disadvantages the weaker teams in this regard.

What’s the motivation of being on the wests tigers board? Is it a paid position or are there perks?

I am regional but radio is fantastic exposure for my business. Best bang for your buck for advertising.

Yep. He was impact off the bench early on. I reckon He would have maintained that form. When injuries struck we he was starting and we needed more minutes out of him.
