I was pretty young at the time (10 or 11) and I haven’t been able to forget that game 😂. There was another that we won in 2012 where Parra put about 30 points on us in 15 mins that has scarred me as well.
Really glad we got the win. In past season we would have been lamenting terrible reffing as the difference but we dug in and showed resilience.
I thought Parra were quite good actually. A lot of intent early on in defence which meant they were winning the field position battle.
I think we...
Quiet I thought. Didn’t do much of anything but I can’t remember him being poor. I’d have to rewatch the game to be sure though.
Though Herbert was our best followed by Javon Andrews and Sukkar. Bunty Afoa was solid and Attard had some classy touches but is a year or two off first grade...
I can’t really add much here that others haven’t pointed out but Galvin really is a cobbled together player without any outstanding skillset.
He supports well, and pushes up but he’s got an awful kicking game without depth or height, can’t pass, drifts across field and can’t direct. He’s a shit...
I actually see AD as more of a wide-running option in the back row because of the exact qualities you’ve mentioned. I don’t think lock is his position at all like you. Being in the middle will stunt his running game.
Well I couldn’t have been more wrong 🤣. I thought it was crazy to play AD, and he had a blinder.
Our defence was good after the first 25 and our young outside backs adjusted well during the game. That was the most impressive part - Makasini in defence, Tavana under the high ball and putting...
There’s no way AD plays. Even if it was just a strain, you wouldn’t risk him aggravating the hamstring issue this early in the season.
Jock will play 7 and Latu will play 6.
Absolutely and the messed up thing about it is he’s slow. There were opportunities to exploit a quick ptb but he waited and allowed the defence to set, before trying to dummy and run.
We burnt so many tackles in the middle with one out runs in Souths red zone. It was embarrassing.
