LIVE GAME Trial 1 vs. Warriors

Live Game Discussion
And must on here were worried our juniors would not get a go , if that’s the best we got we need to go out and buy 10 new players for next year , after watching the dogs kids and a few others from other teams , ours are well behind them

Well I had hope we would see a different type of footy with benji in charge , but it’s the same crap that we dished up last year , one out hit ups and then a kick , the warriors are running the ball so much harder than us , hate to say it but I can see a 3rd wooden spoon . Is it so hard to have some backline plays or our the coaches we have don’t know how to coaches such plays
You do see we won 18-16 in a trial, in NZ , with a ton of line ball referee decisions going against us? 🤔

It’s trials mate. Young juniors always get a go. Check out the side the Titans named

I wouldn’t go too hard on them. Expectations would have been almost zero. There exclusively to give the big boys a rest.
Wasn’t a criticism just an observation. Most of them aren’t ready for first grade. My preference is for them to be brought through slowly. All to often the tigers have been trying to develop players in first grade rather than doing most of the development prior to first grade.

If you couldnt see the changes in the style of play in teh first 30mins, then you dont know Rugba loig.

Forwards hitting the line as Api stands, both halves on one side, swapping out first receiver. VERY different style of play but you judge it on how our Flegg kids played?

Considering most are Flagg players, I wouldn’t expect them to be ready. Takes a really special kid like Bula to stand out.

Willett is a future NRL player

Simpkin is a quality first grader - just not an elite dummy half.

Lobb great in the air - but too willing to pass inside for yardage off catches than taking the run himself

Faataape did well shifting between sides and doing long minutes due to the Casey injury

Our best 17 can be competitive - but big drop off in the quality of our depth players

Samuela Fainu provides the aggression we need & a high work rate - but discipline is a risk-management issue for the coaches

Shame Faagutu is injured - I rate him above Kit

Out of the young ones. Lobb and Willett did well. Faatape was good too. TDS has something, just needs to improve his decision making, took the wrong option on the line break and silly charge down.

Sezer looks like he'll provide direction we've not had in years
Thanks. I was going to ask how these three players played. Well done to all of them.
