CEO - Shane Richardson

He’s very keen on selling the memberships, because it’s a kpi for him.

And if it worked at South’s, he thinks it will work here. Understandable.

He wants people to buy in, I think we might need cheaper and more accessible memberships, reflecting the financial challenges of the modern world and increasing gap between rich and struggle street. Besides, he said the NRL grants were healthy.

It was interesting that he invited Lee to join him at LO and Lee thought he wouldn’t be very welcome.

I suppose the “forgive and forget” policy is more useful in the long run.

You can tell he takes a more philosophical view of the world, comes with age and experience, he prioritises certain things.

Although he definitely had messages to get out about some things.

He has a deep affection for Benji.

He finishes off that your family will always be there for you.

The remarks about younger people were interesting, but Benji is in a rush too lol.

I might add, James Graham let him talk and they are obviously friends. He’s a bit of an enigma James Graham. One of the better ex players in the media.

Everything else he said that I knew about seemed to match my understanding.

Keeping on the path was his big message. No frolicking around. We won’t know ourselves.

He needs a few years, hopefully his health is Ok.

Good to get a membership at the start of proceedings before we get popular!

I didn't realise Jimmy Graham was a Tigers member.

Geez that podcast is a tough listen. Almost 2 hours of largely dribble.

Richo's comments regarding stadia are deeply deeply concerning. Looks like he really has no idea what he's talking about whatsoever.

The way we expand our membership is by having 20k members going to Leichhardt once a month.

There is no larger stadium which is suitable. We won't go to Allianz, we will never, ever go back to Parramatta. Accor stadium is horrible, the members have already rejected it. So there are no other options. Re-developments for Campbelltown and Leichhardt are the way forwards.

Richo was stating that "women don't want to sit on a hill" well that's bullshit. There were thousands of women on the hill on saturday night, all having a good time. With their children. It certainly sounded like he hasn't been to the ground in over 10 years, and it shows.

Sure, more toilets could be handy, and more corporate space is needed too Which is why we need to knock down the current grandstand and put in an L shaped stand that wraps around the western and northern ends. There will then be modern facilities, lots of corporate space, more toilets, food, and undercover seating.

Leichhardt is currently as good or better than Belmore, Kogarah and Brookie. And they've all received funding for upgrades. Penrith stadium isn't much better currently either, but due to Liberal party corruption they're getting an renovated stadium too.

Souths moving away from Moore Park worked because their members moved away. The majority of Sydney based Tigers fans still live in and around the inner west, Ctown hasn't embraced the club still, though that can change as we spend more money in the area. We don't have to spend money to engage the inner west, it's a given. If we move out of that area we will lose a lot of fans and members forever so i don't think Richo is that naive.

A few observations about Richo using his contacts & past blueprints in his current role with us.

- Rich Digital clients include Solomone Faataape, Central Coast Mariners & Greg Inglis. Faataape now with us (Benji's call though), ex Central Coast Mariners CEO recruited to us & GI working offline with Jahream Bula.

- Richo moved the Rabbitohs home games to Homebush. Going by comments in his podcast, this venue seems to a good chance of being our primary home ground in future.

Looking ahead, something he mentioned in his podcast was the need for another 'cream' outside back. So fair chance we will be looking at some quality as a wing or centre. I still think Zac Lomax is in the mix.

You have the right to disagree with him, but he's the man running the show now.
It's happening.

We should be able juggle different home grounds to meet demand from fans.

Agree with BB that LO is absolutely sacred. Fans understand it’s shortcomings. That’s indisputable given he almost full house last weekend against a quality silky side, who were unbackable.

Agree with Benji that the local councils need to support the games that generate income and interest in the area.

Extension south west is fine.

We can have our cake and eat it too.

Fans will turn up almost anywhere if we are winning.

I found it refreshing and common sense tbh.

We have had no coherent leadership that could deliver anything othe than their extended tenure.

Identity as a club in a growth region
Quality stadium
Increased membership = money
Backing the coach
Punting unnecessary staff

Tons to like from me.

Accor Stadium will pay us to play there. It's going to be that simple.

If Leichhardt and Campbelltown get an upgrade, then sure, let's play there if we can make it work financially. If we're being serious, that won't happen anytime soon. the club has been stitched up with anything we have tried to do in the inner west. Leagues club at Rozelle and now Leichhardt funding promised and pulled.

To me, Leichhardt is a marketable feature of the club. Getting rid of it is going to put many off side and I doubt as many fans will attend games.

In any case, I believe Accor is going to be home for the next few years with maybe 1 game each at the old grounds coinciding with some heritage/retro rounds.
