Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Yea...

Like it is a little too soon, but is Terrell May greater then Gareth Ellis?

I won't compare him to Fulton, because Fulton was just a little engine of power. Also not knocking Ellis.
Just wondering if May is greater? Which is praise for both.
Just talking about current pack, Crazy.

Why can’t we let players show us what they’ve got for the natural duration of a contract before deciding they are worthy of large investment?
Let’s see if he keeps his form up over the next 16 months.
This

But smart it may , his form starting to plateau and if he strikes now for a extended contract whilst his first half of season is in everyone’s mind he can get big bucks and be set up for life

Anderson confirmed to the Broncos means both Cobbo and Mariner will be surplus to the Broncos requirements for 2026.
Yes signing Taylan May should hopefully improve our backline, but I feel we still need one more genuine star who can create something out of nothing and help us win these tight games we keep losing.
I would hope we are having a real good look at trying to sign either Cobbo or Mariner because of this.

When is Cobbo on his way mate ? Watching him last night , he will fit straight in to the WT… Fair Dinkum

I reckon Cobbo has a lot to offer...

Papali’i 3 years ago would be perfect for us.

He’s now 33 and his club are choosing not to re-sign him despite being a legend of the club.

Would be a risky signing.

Also, interesting decision by Canberra when you compare it to what we’re doing with Api who is only 4 months younger than Papali’i.

Galvin tanking a game for the dogs is delicious stuff
Gus’ first big miss as dogs GM
This is really all on Gus, he's really the puppet master in all this, as much as I hate the Bulldogs they are playing great footy, and "if it aint broke, dont fix it" has been ignored. We here, already knew Galvin is not a top tier player yet, not to say he won't become one in the future.

From Daily Tele:

Papalii was expected to head overseas to the Super League to finish his career instead of playing against his beloved Raiders.

However he threw a curveball on Thursday in Camp Maroon by declaring he hasn’t ruled out remaining in the NRL following the birth of his fourth child last week.

“I’m still unsure (if this will be my last year in the NRL). I feel like I still got a lot to offer as a player and as a mentor and just being an older head,” Papalii said.
Papalii and Kikau yes please 🙏

I know it's just an interview with a CEO but Monday's 360 appearance by Richo has got huge connotations for the club. Are we still a club with no plan or does he provide much needed clarity about what the heck has happened in the last month, including actually and achievable strategies going forward? So far I have found Richo to be honest and blunt but my fear is that it could turn into a spin session in which case we are no better off than we have been for a decade.
I'm not sure whether Richo requested the interview or Fox asked for it but either way I can't see Richo allowing this to reflect badly on the team.

I think it is part of their 'heavy hitters' segments. If so, this would have been teed up months ago, they will talk about his entire time in rugby league. His "journey".
This won't be him explaining to them what's going on at the west tigers at the moment. He doesn't explain himself the these knobs.

Reed Mahoney officially released from final year of deal to sign with Cows …
when was the last time a team well on track for a top 2 finish has outed 2 of their spine players in a week?

dogs are backing their youth (Hayward, Galvin and some other fella) but I hope it blows up massively for them
