OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

I think Galvin played fantastic last night for a young 5/8th / lock who is playing out of position. I think Bulldogs will need to look into signing or developing a halfback for next year and rearranging their spine.

I still dont know how they will fit Galvin and Burton together in the same line-up moving forward.

Maybe if Galvin can be patient as a utility until his body develops to play lock.

BTW is Brandy managed by Moses or is he just trying to give the kid some positive spin cause I’ve never heard spin like the shit coming out of mouth in commentary last night.
The bulldogs have been running a PR campaign ever since Galvin gate kicked off.. it's more likely that Brandy is friends, or close to, someone at the dogs, and has joined their other mouthpieces in the media ( brent reed, James Graham etc)...

I can't imagine Moses giving two shots about Galvin right now, he'd be focused on the next deal that will bring him comms.. Galvin is done and dusted to him, for now atleast

It has to be about vested interests, that the only explanation.

His contribution was poor, with some bad options, errors and let in a try with just slowness. You can see the pressure mounting in his face.

He’s copping it deluxe at the moment and he deserves every bit of it given what he did to our club.

However, he’s still going to be a quality first grader. Don’t think he has the X factor to ever be the $1M plus player though.

I think he’ll be better than Hastings, but I think they are very similar players who both lack the ability to be a running threat.

I predict by midway through next year, he won’t be their halfback.

I think if he's to have a good career it's not going to happen in the halves, more likely at lock or 2RF.

Problem is he's not big enough yet for those positions he has a lot of filling out to do that could take years and at lock his defense would have to improve out of sight.

What does Ciraldo do now to make them potent in the semis, none of us gives a crap the signs aren't good, just glad he's gone and Benji has one less problem to deal with.

Bulldogs should’ve won that game.
Galvin was busy but ineffective.
He worked hard, was involved defensively, had alot of runs and touches with minimal to negative impacts for most part. His side ways movement actually creates problems for the Bulldogs. When he started to reduce the ball hog style the Bulldogs opened up abit.
Good summation of both Galvin and the Bulldogs MT. They definitely should’ve won that game and were unlucky with 2 dropped balls over the tryline.

Melbourne started the better and were great in the first half, especially defensively. I thought they would’ve come out and really gone on with it, because the Dogs playmakers (Galvin especially) looked clueless in the Storm’s 20 metre zone, but the Melbourne that came out in the second half were very scratchy. If they play like that in the finals, they will probably exit very quickly.

Canberra are looking to be the most dominant, stable team at the top at the moment. Whether they can keep that form up through the intensity of a finals campaign though is anyone’s guess.

He was playing halfback. Everyone knows he's not a halfback but if has the 7 then he had to arrange the team better, which he didn't. Getting involved in every play showed he overplayed immensely.

Not sure Sexton is the answer there too but to keep Mahoney on the bench for 70 minutes is a head turner.

I love the fact he's gone and we didn't waste the salary cap on him. Hel be a decent lock in 3-4 years.

Canberra's last 10 minutes last night wasn't that impressive. Fogarty will need to take more control because they screwed it up 2-3 times at the end there.

But yeah there forward pack is unreal and the backs fast and strong. Give it to Ethan Strange as much as you can and see what he does. Didn't realise he was so big. 1.9m. crazy.

How would you feel as a dogs player when your coach and GM spend the last 18 months telling your half-back that he will be re-signed, he is leading the way in attack, keep up the great work etc...all while winning 90% of your games, then some punk comes in and suddenly that half is dumped and not in a clean or graceful way, and they dump the ex captain at 9 because he preferred to play with the previous half and began starving the new guy of ball. Your right side attack with preston, critta and Kiraz suddenly becomes completely impotent because the new guy is an inexperienced ball hog who is too slow. There is no way that team are gelling, and as a player you would be seriously thinking why should I bust a gut when the club has shown zero loyalty to these other guys. Gus and Ciro have screwed this up.

Usually I’m the first to say that the players would just get on with it. And maybe it’s not something they are showing outwardly, but they must be absolutely livid. They put themselves in a position to win the comp, and then their own coaching staff pulled the rug out from under them. I heard rumblings not long ago that Burton wanted out. If the Dogs bomb out of the finals, I wouldn’t be surprised if those rumblings rear their head again.
