OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

It looked to me like they had a clear plan to target Penrith’s left side defence - McLean, Talagi, Sorensen.

Your right about the other side of their attack not getting much of a look in but I’m pretty sure it was more to do with their game plan, and not Galvin hogging the pill and keeping Sexton, Burton, Kikau ... out of the game.

Given how quiet in attack and ineffective in defence Sexton was - I’ve got a hunch he wasn’t fully fit - he copped a sternum injury in the previous game (just a hunch) 🤷‍♂️

Burton and kicks needed the ball both big body's a shame they didn't go there much

Neurologists have recently seen a strong link between chronic low heart rate (attributed to most athletes) and the sympathetic nervous system, which can trigger a fight/flight response as well as temporary high heart rate.
Interesting Wayne Gretsky (aka possibly the best Hockey player ever) apparently had a super low heart rate while skating.

He was smaller then his team mates and had to do more work/perform harder in theory.
Yet his heart rate was very low.

Another odd story told by Gilmeister. Alfie Langer kept badgering him about making a wager on a dog at the trots. Gilmeister said "no focus on the game ahead". Broncos were at a key moment and Alfie was about to execute a play, he turns to Gilmeister looking at the board "see, that dog did win"... He wasn't even that focused on the game, but scored a try.

A friend knew an islander who was doing MMA, his opponents were hyped to the max. This guy was chilling eating a mars bar before the fight.

TLDR: pressure is far more complex then we understand it at the moment. Poeple like Aaron Woods performed best when tasks were kept simple and he was just having fun. Start to complicate, and his performance tanks. Flip it you have your Galvins, your DCE's, your Storm that train the crap out of themselves.

With woods to play halfback next year it means Galvin will go to 6 as I am pretty sure his manager would have made sure about that with a contract clause.
Looks like Butron is on the outer and will have to settle for centre of lock I don't think Burton will be too happy about that hence the rumours he wants out.
A mate of mine who has a bit of inside info on the dogs has told me a lot of the players do not like him but have to put on a show for Ciro and Uncle Gus.
If it's true and Burton ends up leaving who is also very popular with the playing group, I feel the dogs will be in the media all season next year particularly if their season goes south.
Just glad he's gone, and not our problem anymore.

So the Dogs have signed Sean O'Sullivan from the Dolphins. Apparently he’s being brought in to help train Galvin and Mitchell Woods. Isn’t the reason Galvin left the Tigers was because he couldn’t develop under Benji and yet the Dogs had to recruit someone for the job.

It’s almost like that was just an excuse to get Galvin out of the Tigers but Moses has too much integrity for something like that 🤔

Look,
They are not "mental Midgets" or any other insult.
What your poor teachers have taught you is that "poor emotional control" = "low intelligence" and your teachers were wrong.

Look at Vincent Van Gough, Nicoli Tesla, Salvadore Dali, etc. All had strange behaviours and poor emotional control but a high intelligence.

Taylan has poor emotional control. Great football player, but can't control his emotions and lashes out.
Terrell seems very different, more in control but if anything a little bit shy compared to his brother.

Both have realised social media is the way to make money post NRL. Unlike say Ryan Matterson they wouldn't be stupid enough to not pay a $5000 fine and let their team down.

Taylan is a great player, who is going to have an emotional outburst and will cost us a 6 game suspension. Enjoy him while he lasts.
I’ve listened to Terrell’s podcasts, and there’s definitely an intelligent and thoughtful individual there. While it’s likely he wasn’t in an environment that encouraged a focus on education, I wouldn’t call him dumb—just untrained.

The extreme positivity they use when responding to questions about Galvin is very transparent, they come across as artificial and trained responses.

Listen to some of Benji's comments on the Terrell podcast, if you read between the lines when he comments about Galvin and then later on team harmony.
