We only really have 2-3 Versatile players now....More versatility with Doueihi too.
I see this as a good thing. Because we used to have a lot of "not a winger, not a center" Kind of players. Brent Naden typifies this, Daine Laurie (not a fullback, not really a 5/8 but can play sometimes). Compared to say Turuva, May, etc.
AD has learned some versatility, still doesn't want to be Center and that's where we have needed him for ages. Hope he can keep up his current performance because we have seen rocks n diamonds from him.
Jack Bird is probably our most versatile player next to AD. He can cover 2nd row, center, 5/8... But damn the guy has really dropped form.
Otherwise it's Heath Mason.
It's good to have a few Utilities. But I prefer to have few and far between. They mean you can have fewer depth positions as you have the flexibiility. ... Glad though, we have picked people who have owned their positions and kept them. First graders over fringe graders.
