I reckon he has more heart than to walk away right now...
I doubt he will abandon Benji an the boys...
I think he'll work with PVL and do his best to dismantle this inept bunch from the HBG...
They are my deluded visions
Yep those Ashy bastards. We used to send scouts out to make sure the coast was clear but occasionally they'd get us. They'd take our hats off and roll them along Hercules St to see if they could put 'em under a car wheel. It's a horrible sound the sound of a straw boater going under a car's wheels.Ahhhh, so you're the one who the Ashie Teck boys used to steal your boaters from.
Exactly we don't know none of us do it's just pure speculation at the moment. HBG would be well aware that trying to bring back the Magpies will be a failure of epic proportions they wouldn't have nearly enough support now compared to the 90s & the Campbelltown area has already embraced WT's.Yes …and the word of others that said differently …. I wasn’t there so I don’t know …but I’m sure it’s documented somewhere whether something is mentioned in a board meeting or not…
And umpteen thousands of fans disenfranchised. Great outcome pal.Or East Tigers, they have more money than Ashfield and it solves a couple of problems for the NRL.
One less Sydney side and that gives the NRL an extra team in Brisbane.
Brisbane Tigers it may well be.
Then Penrith and Canterbury can take over Western Sydney.
A win win for the NRL no more drama from a club that has been utterly incompetent for 25 years.
As I recall in 2000 we were second after Rd 17 and still in the top 8 after round 21. I’m not convinced he was that bad.In my opinion Wayne Pearce as great a player he was started this whole rot. He was not equipped to manage a roster and recruit players. Set us back decades.
And that's from an old Balmain fan.
Sorry, I'm just an interested spectator with the emotional stuff. What do you think of these crackpots down at HBG mate, time to round them up and lead them down to the knackery yes, the continuous disruption they cause to the team.
I go back to when fish walked out of the ocean. But which period are you from?
The Triassic, Jurassic or Cretaceous periods?
Pride, unfinished business, his support of Benji, Luai, Api, Kezzie & co, he has brought a number of his people into the club, plus if he can navigate through this & lead us to the promised land, he will achieve knighthood! Be hard to walk away TS.Anyway …Brent Read has said that Richo can now walk away with two years of pay …given clauses in his contract …
Why would he stay ?
The same way we went off bill Clintons word when he said "I did not have sexual relations with that woman"At the end of the day all we really have to go off is Patons word.
Especially when you consider he had virtually a whole new team to gel, as good as the players were still difficult to achieve. As I recall in 2000 we were second after Rd 17 and still in the top 8 after round 21. I’m not convinced he was that bad.

The original Big Beautiful Bill. The same way we went off bill Clintons word when he said "I did not have sexual relations with that woman"
The job of rebuilding from 3 spoons is hard enough without stability and overt consistent support from a capable BoardI wouldn’t blame him if he left ,,,he isn’t a young man and has had health issues … I think the only possibility he stays is if things go back to independence somehow
Not that simple.HBG are the licensed owners of WT's are they not? therefore they are entitled to make decisions like these if they believe they are in the best interests of the club.
HBG will have no choice but to provide more public detail around their decision well before this rally I reckon (if there is any substance to it) - detail that answers the questions asked over the previous 80+ pages.View attachment 30489
Wests Tigers Unite
🗓️Date: Saturday, December 13th
🕦Time: 10.30 AM
📍Location: Pratten Park
❓Why? Inner West Mayor Darcy Byrne has convened a rally to save Wests Tigers following the extraordinary sacking of all independent directors on the Wests Tigers board.
The rally will start at Pratten Park and will include a march to Wests Ashfield Leagues Club, where fans will demand that the Board of the Leagues Club (the Holman Barnes Group) resign.
Not at all. I just don't think he will unless it it forced by HBG or health issues.Like I said …no one would blame him …he has well documented health issues and is getting on …
You won't be if HBG lose what power they think they have if the NRL and gaming commission start gnawing on their arse which is long overdue.Sorry, I'm just an interested spectator with the emotional stuff.
