I come from the Balmain side mate when living in Sydney went to all LO games, but I think bringing back Balmain into the name would be a mistake.
Yeh fair call. Most of us I think, with the exception of a few rusted on diehards, want the WT to be our club, I’m happy to respect the legacies of our foundation clubs but no more than that.
I would love some of the Laundy corporate expertise and know-how being brought to WT.

My only comment on what you’ve said is HBG didn’t think it through very well. If they say communication was the biggest issue and it’s clear to everyone that there were two directors common to both boards then blind Freddy would ask why sack four directors off the WT board and leave the common directors in place. That just defies logic and commonsense.
Don’t agree. No-one here supports HBG. We are forced to accept their involvement because we have no choice if we want to support WT. if you feel strongly enough about HBG, you stop supporting WT. I’m not prepared to do that.
Agree. The rusted-on balmain folk are just as bad as the magpie guys. I really hate these guys coming out in the media to bring back balmain - it just keeps the same tired old discussion going.

Board members do not have indemnity. It is the board members responsibility to request all the information they need to make the correct decision. There is board member insurance, however this protects them only from any financial impact. They can be excluded from sitting on a board as a director if they are proven to be negligent.

perhaps this is a ploy to destroy Dennis Burgess...as he was the HBG representative on the WT board, and he is the chair of HBG.....could another coup be on the cards? BOF's comment that there are people looking to make their way up the ladder at HBG could explain this.
If that was the case, it's just another reason in a long list to get rid of them, just backs up the case that HBG are a viper's nest and Wests Tigers is not their top priority.

As I said in an earlier post, it can’t hurt if hundreds of us complained online to L&G about how the club is run. They would fail fit and proper persons at the very least given the decision making of the past 18 months
The only thing that would have defied logic and common sense would be if those 2 HBG members were voting for more orange on the jersey.
