What happened to the Under 50 and no real connection to either Magpies or Balmain?

What will have more effect on this situation is the protest not the nrl . The protest is what will put HBG under pressure , just like they caved last time with the petition and installed the independent board

The difference being that the licensing agreements most likely tightened up since back in South's days. They are the basis of an asset that you can use in your sales motions for media companies - the NRL would want them to be tight to ensure that clubs don't tarnish the game.

These are private documents, though, so I'm just hoping. But we will see.

Another outcome could be just to apply pressure to HBG and get them to continue the structure, but put some more rigidity around when they can dissolve the WT board. i.e. Criminal or gross misconduct.

If they can handcuff HBG from hitting the big red button every time their ego dictates, then that would be another way.

Didn't NRL push our first move for independents on the board? They did it somehow once.

Not getting your point in relation to my post.

Edit: you mean Laundy following Balmain, mate who would you prefer him or the interfering goons we have now, he looks to be happy to stay in the background at the dogs, any new owner is a risk but anyone would be better than who we have now.

Oh the evidence of bad behaviour is certainly there, its just how sound an argument can be made.
Based on the parameters im not sure you have an easy win in litigation.
The nrl won't be interested in getting into a provincial shit fight unless the outcome they want it gift wrapped for them.
This is all too messy. I dont see an easy fix coming.

I just had a look at one magpies page...some very nasty and threatening posts to some of the boys here
Ashamed to admit this was my old club....there are some very very unhinged people involved in all of this

Who are they having a crack at this time lol. I think I can probably guess.
 
This saga reminds me of the plot of the 1989 film Major League. In that movie the team banded together to make the finals and save the franchise. Let’s hope our boys can do the same.

Well it’s coming my brother . After the protest I think it’s time for war. I think a good turnout of 5k plus should be enough to sway the nrl to see how much we want these guys gone .
I really hate the rhetoric out there that most tigers fans don’t know what’s going on . Every tigers fan knows something is wrong at the heart of this club. And it’s HBG… and probably always has been when they were named wests … along with the other mob that doesn’t exist anymore .
