It’s cause it’s on my phone man . I try to! I’ll go back and fix it . It just for whatever reason sometimes returns it to a mess. It’s pretty annoying . Like some of my autocorrects to stupid shit as well. I think I’ve typed out something worth contributing and it posts like I don’t know how to write .

Do you think it’s contributed to the”this review is just a way for Balmain to get back control of the tigers” sentiment I’d seen at the time ? Which really seems to have gained steam . These past 18 months. I think it would have been a good faith gesture , that like you said , was a little odd at the time . Maybe Barnier and Crawford deemed it inconsequential because it was only 10%.

I also think the whole situation with Balmain allegedly speaking with the new Zealand team should have been enough for him.to step down as well.

Look, if it's about the perception of recycled failures maintaining their positions, I get it, but unless it's more than that, it's just a side show to the real issues.

Even the board member the got the quote off who was on his sick bed . I mean never mind the ethics of the journo there , but yea , that should have at least caused a “ no faith”of the Balmain board and a new delegate selected .
I honestly think people should age out off boards . No disrespect , but even the most forward thinking human is going to have a huge disconnect at 75-80 to what’s on the field and the product (the players) actually out there representing the jersey .
I mean you don’t kick them in the arse and out to pasture , but surely there’s a space for “great grandad is on a rant again “ and everyone rolls their eyes.
I don’t know like a board adjacent think tank . Or meeting where old boys can attend and their contributions are valued a couple times a year .
I was thinking about this today . Someone like Denny Burgess right. He’s not my cup of tea , but he’s given his life to the wests magpies . When you watch his movie from 25 years ago , and whatever , he seems obsessed with his legacy and being remembered . If he was pushed out say 5 years ago , he would be attending the old boys meetings , and be looked upon fondly a celebrated , probably by both wests tigers and magpies fans .

But as it stands now, there would be people lining up to piss on his grave when he passes on. I know I’m quoting a movie here but “he’s lived long enough to see him become the villain”. It just seems a sad waste to me . The whole thing …
 
Wests Magpies and Holman Barnes Group chairman Dennis Burgess could be fighting to remain a Wests Tigers powerbroker following revelations his Instagram account follows hundreds of sexually explicit pages.
Well-placed sources at the embattled club have revealed there have been talks between senior figures, who are pushing for Burgess to either stand down or be removed from his position.

It comes after this masthead revealed fans’ concerns over his alleged Instagram activity, specifically that his handle — wildmandenny — follows more than 200 accounts belonging to adult content creators featuring risqué photos and links to more explicit content.

Burgess did not respond when this masthead reached out for comment to see whether his account had been hacked. This masthead also contacted him for comment.
